Stage 3 soft foods
I went back at 16 days post op. I brought a hard boiled egg with me. My surgeon clears us for veggies at 2 months. So it's been eggs and those mini mozzarella cheese wheels for me at work. I drink my shake for breakfast on my way there as well.

When I drop my weight, I'm going to try (insert answer)!
My "special friend" has always wanted me to ride him but I've always been afraid to squish him. Any advice on getting over the fear? And is it really that great? Never been on top before so I'm wondering

Stage 3 soft foods
You're doing pretty good. Just introduce new foods one by one in case you have a reaction.

Stage 3 soft foods
When were you sleeved? It gets better with time, so don't worry. I'm 6 weeks and still struggle. I can't seem to eat enough, calorie wise. Are you tracking your calories?

When I drop my weight, I'm going to try (insert answer)!
I want to go to Vegas again and this time not hold back because I think everyone is looking at how fat I am. I didn't zip line, bungee jump, ride the bull. I didn't really even want to leave the hotel

Dont flame me
What if you were to freeze for of the shake into ice cube like pops? May help with the need to chew?

Wavering...sleeve or plication?
The cold feeling happens with weight loss in general. You lose insulation which = cold feeling. I love the cold feeling as i get hot easily now. It's kind of a type of trade off. There are pros and cons to each. But I would rather have a useless piece of stomach cut out than run the risk of an infection or ulcer in the fold. That just my opinion though.

Dont flame me
My surgeon didnt require a pre op diet either. Had a grilled cheese and lemonade as my "last meal" the night before and then milk of magnesia. Every surgeon is different. Perhaps the 4 days would be easiest for you as they are the shortest?

Stage 3 soft foods
I was told eggs, I prefer hard boiled, lean deli meat slices, and soft cheese.

Sprite
Have you tried pedialyte? The baby fluid? It's like Gatorade but lighter on the stomach

4 days out and having second thoughts
I saw a friend 2 days ago that saw me 2 days post op still in the hospital. I am 6 weeks post op now. First thing she told me: you look amazing! And then she asked if I still regretted getting sleeved. I guess I went on a whole rant in the hospital about how this was the worst decision of my life, that I would fail, that its not worth it. And I told her: no, I feel almost normal now. I do not regret this it was the best thing I've done for myself

Drinking Alcohol
I drank last night. I am 6 weeks out. It hits me a lot faster and lasted a bit longer than I am use to. Can't drink half as much as I use to, but still kept up somewhat.

5'5" Women....what is your goal weight or size?
I'm 5'4 and would be happy between 175-200 pounds. That is what I weighed in high school and though I still had a gut, I really liked how I looked. Still had curves in all the right places ; )

Lose weight in feet?
I wore a pair of heels last night that I haven't worn in 6 months. My feet had so much room it was hard to walk. Made it through the night but will buy a new pair

How do you know if someone likes you?
I guess I'm just going to feel it out. I overheard him saying that he would never date someone from work so I think it wouldn't work out. The attention is nice though

Fear of eating too much
Is it weird that I now have a deathly fear of eating TOO much? I am 6 weeks out, and I know that my calorie intake is not where it is suppose to be. But I can't imagine eating more. I hit enough Protein, and Water could be better, but I just can't eat more. If I go over my usual amount of calories, I feel like a failure. Anyone feel the same way?

What Did You Eat At 4 Weeks?
I am a hard boiled egg and tuna girl! My food at 5 weeks include: eggs, tuna, deli meat, grilled chicken. I'm pretty happy with the same menu everyday which is why my choices are limited.

How do you know if someone likes you?
I think he's going to go to my company's party this week. I asked him and he said no, and I said I was and he said he'd see, maybe he'd go. I just don't want to push it and ask to hang out and then he would say something like "eww." He's polite so I doubt he'd say it like that but I don't want to deal with the rejection. Plus he's talking to another girl at my work as well. But according to my friends, he's not nearly as touchy and chatty with her as he is with me. I guess I'll just wait and see how it goes. He seems like a nice guy so hopefully I'm not making a mistake by just waiting.

How do you know if someone likes you?
There's this guy at my work. He introduced himself to me after I had been working there for around 3 months. He's pretty shy and quiet. After introducing himself, he now goes out of his way to bump (literally bump) into me, pat my shoulder, hold the small of my back while walking around me, and just to see me. We talk a lot and get along great. Today we spoke on the work phone as he called my department. I asked him to do something for the store, and he asked if by doing this it would make me smile. I told him I suppose it would and he said because that's the most important thing. He did the task and walked by smiling at me. He has not asked for my number or asked to hang out or anything. What's your opinion? I've never been the one to get attention from guys so I don't want to misread this. Sorry if it seems kinda dumb. We're both in our 20's. Thanks!

Birth controL
I stopped taking it 3 months pre op. supposedly it's to reduce the chance of a blood clot but those stupid heparin shots pretty much did it for me. I was told to use condoms for 3 months post op as well and then start on it again. Guess every surgeons different.

I gotta give up gum too?
The gum thing is because chewing it allows you to swallow a lot of air and it would hurt. It is also because you might swallow it. I told my NUT pre-op: but what if I don't swallow it? And she said: you should just give it up or switch to mints.
