Hi Lisa! Completely get you......I am considering Mexico right now. Quote in states was 15 large!
Waiting for two quotes from Mexico now. Looking at dr. S in Monterray based on feedback here and obesity help site.
So far....about 8 large. Hugely different
Likely January .....if anyone is looking for a buddy on their trip in January look me up!

Has anyone had any experience with this plastic surgeon in Mexico? If you have I would like your feed back. I'm currently working with Medical Tourism of Mexico to get quotes on removing excess skin since weight loss.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

I did go alone' date=' and my own fears were unfounded. Lol. There are other people having surgeries within the time you are there. It is easy to spot in the mornings going down for breakfast.... The ones that are slow, stiff, bandaged or carrying drains. Lol. Everyone is so friendly. So connecting is so nice. I would have no fears of going alone again. You are safe and well taken care of. Monterrey is not the stereotypical part of Mexico you often think of. The area you are in is clean, upper class type area. Large houses, large hotels (bigger than my little town and cleaner. Lol), new cars, streets are clean. ... I have been to a few different places in Mexico over the past few years and I def felt the most at ease, safe and really surprised at how modern the area was.
I had connected with the dr via email.
The dr is Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico you can google him as I don't have the info on me right now. (I believe it's the medical tourism site he uses) I researched him for a good 8 months and was very happy with his reviews, the amazing work he does and of course now my results. His wife is the anesthesiologist and is very sweet. Dr S responds to all the emails and so you are getting his professional opinion right away. No middle man makes it way easier and faster to communicate directly with him.[/quote']
Awesome! Thank you

The journey is real! You look great! Congrats on your success. I hope to be your story by spring!

Thanks. So did you guys communicate via e-mail or video chat? Would you think same if you went alone? I likely could have a person with me for several days but not 12
Can you provide his full name and facility? Super interested. I plan on having procedure in January or February. 10lbs to goal weight.
So glad you are happy...feels nice !!

No regrets. No complications. Only regret was not trying to understand why I eat. I am now but should have sooner. Surgery did not make my desire to TURN to food less. It makes me consume less makes me try to determine what is making me run to the fridge (thank goodness o ly sugar free Popsicles are there).
Date nite seems like a challenge some days.....but I eat so little hubby gets his faves all the time...bonus for him. .
Down to 170. 15lbs from goal. Would have surgery again tomorrow

I have had hypothyroidism for years including many years pre-surgery. It took about 4 years to get my thyroid medication right. Like you' date=' my blood work results were up one time and down the next. That has been the experience of others I know, too. So there is nothing unusual about that. I have not needed a higher dose after the surgery. Good luck. Your doctor will find the right level.[/quote']Thanks! I have been on mess for about 18 years. First time I have had this many issues

Go up on treadmill speed to 4.0 and above. Increase calorie burn by 60% in same amount of time!

I have been struggling with keeping values within range since surgery. Meds changing every six weeks. To high. To low! Anyone experience this? If so, how long before you were able to get regulated? Doctor says just struggling with absorption which would not be uncommon.

Interesting ! Thanks for the info. I guess I need more squats??? Yuck.

So SUPER excited for you! I just saw surgeon about boobs! . So cannot wait.
I do not have anything in my paperwork either. Google normal levels and compare . I refer to NIH a lot for post op!

I have not logged in a month. My nut said if I am eating my Protein exercising and loosing that I should not worry. If I loose slow or gain she would not be able to make change recommendations.....so, like all things in life, it is a personal choice. Good luck
