    All of my December sleevers...

Has anyone gone back to the liquid diet to kick start things again? I've been stalled for awhile. I've increased my calories, water, protein and exercise but nothing seems to work.

    All of my December sleevers...

I'm 23lbs until I reach my doctors goal of 170 and 43lbs from my personal goal of 150. It seems like it took forever to get this far but I guess in reality it's only been 3.5 months...lol.

    All of my December sleevers...

I went to my 3 month post op last week and I am down 47% of my excess body weight (they like to see 30% at 3 months out). Yesterday I was able to ride with my kids on the rides at the amusement park with no issues and last week I made it into ONEderland. I went from a size 26w to a 14. I'm stoaked! Starting weight: 265 Surgery date: 12/20/12 Current weight: 198 Goal: 150 Height: 5 6''

    All of my December sleevers...

I don't really have anything set as far as a daily diet. I usually have 1 protein shake a day, a protein bar, baby bell cheese, beef jerk, lunch meat. I drink about 50oz of water a day and 8oz of 2% milk (I refuse to switch to skim...lol). I try and eat every 2-3 hours even if I'm not hungry. In the beginning I exercised daily, walking 2 miles a day. Nothing crazy 2-3mph, but I haven't been on the treadmill in 3 weeks and I'm still losing. Starting weight was 265lb.

    December sleevers

I was sleeved on 12/20. I've lost 47lbs, 27lbs since surgery. I've tried upping my calories, lowering my carbs, upping my water, exercising 2xday for 30mins. Nothing seems to move the scale. I've almost come to the conclusion that maybe I won't lose any more.

    Period changes?

I got my period the day after surgery then I skipped a month and got it almost 4 weeks late.
  13. What's your carb intake like?

Awesome! I feel the same way. I no longer feel like I'm going to have a heart attack chasing my little ones.

    Whats the difference?

    Cheaper out of pocket expense.
  17. I tried Zumba for Wii. I have absolutely no rhythm, none, zero, zip, nada...lol. I looked like an weirdo failing around in my living room. I figured I was still getting in a workout even if I wasn't doing the exact moves on the screen..lol. I'd never be able to take a class.

    Vsg In Minneapolis Area?

I LOVE Dorothy! i told her when I started my journey in July last year that if I couldn't get the surgery before the end of the year (my out of pocket max was met, so it was free) that I wouldn't be able to do it. She pulled tooth and nail and got me in late December. No I haven't had a chance to go to any of the groups yet.

    Vsg In Minneapolis Area?

I was sleeved 12/20/12 by Dr. Jones at Park Nicollet. He and the staff there were wonderful.

What to expect on liquid diet?

I swear I drank like 6 shakes the first day..lol.I had a headache the first 2 days. It will be rough for about the first 3 days but should level off on the 4th day. Good luck!
  21. I was over weight with all of my pregnancies, and for that reason I was considered high risk. I had to go through a lot of extra testing and had to watch my weight extremely close. There's also a high risk of gestational diabetes. I had my 4th baby in March '12 and had surgery in Dec '12. My doctor required me to be 6 months postpartum before they would do the surgery. My advice would be to have the surgery first, lose the weight and then get pregnant. I think it's the healthier option.
