    Hair loss

I am 3 months out and just started losing my hair bad.. After a shower or brush it fills my brush how long should I expect to keep losing?? I really feel like if it keeps falling out at this rate I will have patches of no hair... I'm trying to stay positive but it's stressing me out.. I have lost 50 pounds which I am grateful for but just would like to hear from someone with a timeframe to expect it to get better.. Thanks

I would love love love some popcorn...

I am about 2 1/2 months postop and I can eat popcorn and nuts.. I've had the air popped kind a couple times just about a handful or two and it goes down fine.. So do nuts.. I just had my checkup and my nutritionalist assured me that I can eat just about anything just small portions (of course) and get my protein in first.. And always try a small bite of any new food and wait about 5 minutes to make sure it sits well with your stomach.. I still can't eat eggs very well.. I have lost 48 pds since surgery....

    Back pain

I had a ultrasound done yesterday and it showed my gallbladder was inflamed and I need a surgical consult.. So I'll be calling my WLS Dr Monday to tell him the results:( thx for those who responded with advice
  4. I started having sharp nagging back pain Monday.. Right in the middle of my back right where my rib cage stops.. I was 3 weeks post op Tuesday..I'm not nauseous, or throwing up, no fever, and have no trouble with eating or drinking so with it being a holiday I didn't call my dr.. I called today and he called right back and says it sounds like gallstones??? That women that lose weight fast are at higher risk for it to happen.. I've last 30 pds since surgery.. At first I was worried about a leak but he said it didn't sound it was a leak bc of lack of symptoms and that he wants me to get a ultrasound ASAP to see for the gallstones.. Has anyone else experienced this 3 weeks postop?? I'm pretty scared and just want to here others experience.. Thanks

    Chicken salad

Thankyou for replying.. I do make the chicken salad with good seasonings I meant more like what to eat with it.. Pre surgery I loved chicken salad on salad greens or wheat thins or a wheat pita.. Is there something like that that is safe during the soft phase?? I know crackers or a def no right now.. It seems like I read somewhere on here someone put it on a thin slice of pickle forte extra texture.. But I don't think I can have pickles on softs.. Right?? I'm sure I just need to keep eating it with a fork but it nevers hurts to hear other advice

    Chicken salad

Hey guys just want to ask a Q.. I'm on soft foods for another 2 weeks and I'm doing good with chicken salad and tuna salad..( eggs arent goong so well) I chew it the 30 times and it doesn't hurt.. It's about the only way I can get a real protein in.. But is there anything that I can put the chicken salad on and eat it?? I just want to vary my meal a little but don't know what classifies as a safe soft food.. I am going to call my nutrionaslist wed when they reopen but thought id ask here.. And also just want to add that I'm only able to eat about 5-6 bites of the chicken salad/ tuna salad.. Thanks for your thoughts!
  7. Is Pepcid the same as prilosec?? That's what my dr called me in and I'm about to go pick it up..
  8. Gotcha... Thx for clarifying.. I hope I don't ever experience it
  9. Oh so dumping can't happen to us that had a sleeve? It's just for the bypass surgery? I haven't experienced any bad feeling after eating yet.. Just sometimes I think my bite is to big and I can feel it slowly go in to my stomach but the discomfort goes away quickly
  10. What is this "dumping" that I read people talk about?? What foods cause it?? Thx I'm new to this
  11. Hey all! I was sleeved dec 11... I'm on purée food now and start soft foods Thursday.. I can't wait.. I'm down 27 pds since preopt diet.. 13 pds since surgery.. I think I'm in a stall this week I haven't lost anything.. I'm not having any problems with eating.. I had a little chicken salad today chopped up super fine and tried a couple bites of bean chili for dinner.. I think the biggest problem I have I'd getting all my protein in bc the shakes make me nauseas now I'm so over them..
  12. Chrystal lavoie- did they say why you got a leak 3 weeks postop?? I'm 2 weeks now and I thought I was in the clear for my pouch leaking.. It's got me worried now.. I'm glad your ok now but I'd there any advice to preventing it from happening?

Last week I was depressed and soo hungry but today at my checkup my Dr moved me to the puréed diet and it's been great to have yogurt and oatmeal.. I see the light at the end of the tunnel now and I'm just hoping I keep losing.. I've read people on here that stall out so I'm trying to drink my 64 oz of water and my protein too!
