    Protein powder

For me it depends on if the protein is something that will go good with milk. Like the syntrax nectar sweets go well with milk so i use soy or lactose free skim, but the fruity nectar goes better with water and ice blended together.

    Pre-Pre Op Diet?!

Well, I don't think its that your insurance company wants you to lose a certain amount of weight before they decide if they will cover your surgery or not; i think its more that they want to see if you can stick to a program and how a structured program works for you. I would definately try not to gain any weight though. I was fortunate enough not to have that requirement, I did have to provide one documented weight per year for the past five years though. good luck....

    protien?

Ok, so from what i understand, Protein concentrate has more carbs than protein isolate, i would check with your nitritionist and see how many carbs you are allowed during your preop diet and use the concentrated protein for preop. You are probably going to have hypoglycemia regardless because your body is used to having way more carbs than its going to get during a liquid diet. Not sure if you are diabetic and take insulin or any other medicine that stimulates the pancreas to increase insulin output, but if you are, you may want to talk with your pcp about decreasing your dose.....hope this helped Sent from my iPhone using VST
