    Hi Alice Can't hide from me I am everywhere :lol: Everyone else - I know Alice - she is a member of my mentor group :biggrin2: The 50+ thread is great as we have diff issues than some of the younger ones - menopause - grown kid problems - grandkids - plus we have lost the weight so many times before and I think we really get it that this is our last ditch effort to get it off and keep it off.     How to stop dairy food cravings

    Who said you had to give up dairy ??? I am suppose to have skim milk - dannon lite & fit yogurt - lowfat cheeses. I don't eat as much cheese as I use to - but have some lowfat string cheese everynow and then - I stay away from too much cheese cuz of the fat and calories for one little oz :tongue:

    Kat - yep this is a whole new experience - I am still amazing 11 months out .. Jill - Yep mushies never knew we could be so excited Congrats on the 9lbs :tongue: Long - Great NSV I had one on Friday - My GS asked me why I was walking so fast - told him i am just walking - before he would always be 10 steps ahead of me :thumbup:

    Denise - I was off yesterday and playing around with the computer and here on lbt so I don't eat :tt1: - just watching t.v. is boring and makes me want to munch :tongue: Cathy - Yep stay very very active it keeps that motivation up :biggrin2: Welcome Lesley - Yep we will be here for you and totally get being fed up being a fatty.. Peaches - I wasn't really in the mood for the gym yesterday but gotta go even when I'm not feeling it :thumbup:. Will go today - tomorrow and Sat that's my routine :biggrin2: Good luck on the fill - remember good food choices:biggrin2:

    Candice Love the pic - you and your DD look alike - you dont' look 180.. I think I could use like .01 or .02 fill - I seem to eat too much sometimes but again - I don't really it's just that my head keeps telling me I am hungry when I'm not. Plus I think that we are so use to eating such small amounts that if we eat say 1/2 cup more - we think we are pigs when in all reality we aren't - we are no longer eating those plates of food, bread and desserts like we use to..

    Lil Bear (aka Momma's Boy) is a Pomeranian - He is super duper fluffy (hairy) and it's just too hot here (suppose to be 115 today) so we cut him short in the summer and give him a teddy bear (chow type mane). Angel (aka Momma's Girl) is the poodle That was my 2nd attemp - they jumped off the chair the 1st time - they are pretty good dogs most of the time I go this weekend to get mine done - if I didn't color it I would be almost all white:ohmy:...

    Cathy Went back and ck'd my food diary - looks like I was eating 1/2 cup refried bean with a sprinkle of cheese and creamed soups for lunch during the mushie stage. I had 10 days each stage - full liquids - mushie - soft then regular..

    I was on my way to the gym - really didn't want to go:lol: I think I was a 12 when I came up for dinner - weight in the 170's ??? now an 8 or 6 - so the last 20 lbs has reallly made a diff - I never thought it would - I had my head so that my little turkey neck didn't show - you see how I have me chin sticking out

    Thanks Cathy & Apple Yep same clothes - here I am right now in my real gym clothes.. Apple you will be in our prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery... Cathy congrats on the 12 lbs.. Yep your June board should be buzzing right now - I know that my July 07 board would have like 5 pages of post each day now it's slowed - we have a few regular poster but all those who posted in the beginning aren't around much anymore. I kept up with these 2 threads and still post to both .. A few of us have this opinion that those who keep posting are the one that really stick to the bander rules - the ones who just pop in everynow and then - usually report they have been off track - so my suggestion is to keep on posting - make lbt your transfer addiction :sad:

    Hi Cathy Do you have a microwave to heat your food?? If so - Soups - left overs from dinner - lunch meat are usually allowed on mushie. Refried Beans with a little low fat cheese - I made navy bean soup - pinto bean bean soup and mushed up the beans... One pot wonders onion bell pepper garlic white ground turkey meat cabbage chopped real fine - saute onions bell peppers in a little evoo add ground turkey & garlic crumb it up real good - cook till done add cabbage - soy sauce - some Water cover and cook till done - you can subsitutue zuchinne for the cabbage - delete soy sauce and replace with tomatoe sauce.... I will have to go look at my food diaries - all of a sudden my brain is blank - you understand the 50+ issues - I will go dig out my books and see what I ate but I am pretty sure a lot of left overs from dinner warmed up in the micro wave. Will let you know in a bit.

    Recovery wasn't bad - ya surgery hurts - Woke up saying wtf have you done :sad: but after a few hours was better - next day bad gas for a minute but the last pain shot too it away -- I was banded on a Tues back to work the following Monday (Desk Job) Port site was uncomfortable for the longest about 2 or 3 weeks but not bad I wore dresses for a few weeks nothing tight around my waist. I have been on a lot of diets programs - and for me the band was the tool I needed to help me put to use all I had learned from like weight watchers (I am a ww girl) During my mushie stage I came home from work tired and hungry - started to make cream gravy (bacon fat flour milk) to put over my mashed potatoes - I looked at it while it was cooking and said ya it's a mushie -but is it healthy - did you have major frickin surgery so that you could / would continue to eat unhealthy - I said NO - threw the crap away - didn't eat it.. I have read alot of self help stuff - We eat to sooth our feelings to self medicate - I now think before I eat - am I really hungry (99% of the time I am not truly hungry) I eat healthy 98% of the time allow for treat about 2% of the time - but they are within my calorie budget for the day. I count calories - Protein grams keep a food diary and exercise.

    There are ton's of pple here who say that they didn't get banded to diet, to count calories, keep food diaries and even exercise. And yes they will lose some weight and they may be satisfied with only lose 20 - 30 - 40 lbs - but I wasn't - I have lost 99% of my excess weight. This may be why the statistics for amount of weight loss for a bander is 40% to 50%of their excess weight. For me having major surgery to get the tool was the "ah ha" moment I eat healthy 98% of the time - I exercise 4 days a week now that I am at goal (use to exercise 4-5 days) I agree with setting good examples on your eating habit to teach your children - I am drilling into my 4 yr old gd to eat healthy - no junk food.. I don't hate pple who make these kind of statement - I feel sad for them as they most likely won't be that sucessful - until they learn that they need to be eating healthy - low fat - limited carbs - limited sugar.

    Thanks for the "skinny" Complement - I am told I look 120... That plate of spaghetti would be about 8 meals now :lol: Congrats on the loss:thumbup: - that fantastic :frown: Ya I had some wine and not small glasses like 3 of your big ones friday and saturday.. I like that dime thing - I should use it for my Water - but I would have to make it a dollar :sad:

    IMHO WW is a great way to eat healthy as you get a well balanced meals - meat veggies starches Desserts. It's about learning to eat healthy - that's it - do what works for you. The band gives you portion control - you gotta change your eatting habits and exercise mindset for the surgery to give you the maximum results.
