    protein shots?

I read that those were not true protein.. and was told to stay away from them.. Im trying to get all my protein from foods right now.. I get darn close at times.. and then in between.. water water water..
  4. good deal.. cuz he may want to change them again or take you off of them.. I would monitor it yourself and then report to him what it has been.. and thats great that you are almost off of them.. they took my hubby off his the day after his surgery.. so he takes no bp meds or diabetic meds either.. so check with him on that. asap.

    Petrified of Hair Loss! :-O

they say its a shock to your system. I would think it would be right away then..not 3 months down the road..funny thing.. I was having some hair loss before surgery and a few months before that.. not sure why.. so 2 weeks before my surgery I started taking biotin.. and after a couple of weeks.. low and behold.. my hair stopped falling out..and became softer.. go figure.. maybe mine wont fall out.. maybe it will.. most say it will... but there are that select few that it doesnt happen to.. maybe I wasnt getting all my vitamins.. but im hoping because of this reverse thing that happened with me..that maybe it wont.. I will have to keep people posted. good luck.

    Depressed to the fullest!

Everyone hits the stall stage.. ive heard eating more helps.. but make sure its the protein first.. I have the same problem.. that maybe im not losing as fast as everyone else.. prolly cuz I dont eat very much.. but im not hungry and its hard with both my jobs... I try.. but im going to try harder..and throw the scale away.. I only weigh at the dr office.. thats too much to worry about.. but like VSGKirk said.. do you feel better with the weight that has come off? I sure do.. give your body some time to catch up.. major thing you did to it.. .. it will all start again.. trust me there... best of luck to you.

    vitamins & biotin

as my doc also stated.. nothing larger than a m&m. or an aspirin.. but then some of the vitamins you can get sublingual or another thought which wasnt really tasty.. to crush those that are too big and mix them with something when you take them. but Im post op since dec 20 and I can now take the pills.. so in time.. but not many options other than chewables or under the tongue sorts.. and the liquid is just plain nasty.. ewwwwwwwww .
  11. Thats an excellent question.. I want to buy the wii zumba too but not sure what to expect.. my gym im going to go to offers zumba classes. not sure what to expect there either.. hopefully if I start there.. then the wii will be easier to follow.. I dunno.. maybe someone has tired that.. wish I could answer that for you.
  12. absolutely get to the ER if you are not drinking.. I didnt have any issues.. seems like all I wanted to do was drink something.. my mouth was very dry..and it gets that way a lot during the day.. but I just keep sipping water and making sure I stay hydrated.. it will get easier.. the first few days are hard.. getting used to everything.. hang in there.. good things to come.. good luck.
  13. more than likely its gas.. you will feel a difference when you go to full liquids.. and can have like the mushy stuff like pudding..and then will be amazed how little you can eat. plus make sure you are sipping and not taking too big of drinks.. but it will all get better for sure.. good things to come.. totally.. best of luck.. keep us informed of your progress.

    bummed :(

my hubby tried some ice cream that was sugar free and weight watchers acceptable... but what happen is that it too hurt his stomach. So needless to say.. he wont be trying that again.. he had surgery dec 27 and all is well.. just he cant eat that anymore.. you will come across things like that.. stuff you used to be able to eat..and cant now.. sort of a good thing for sure.. I have stuff like that too.. so I steer clear from them.. trial and error.. I had surgery dec20.. and doing great.. you learn along the way what your cut off point is.. I just pay attention to my stomach.. it tells me when enough is enough and Im learning just about eye balling what that amt. is. Ive not ever tried things im not suppose to have.. I figure that if the doc says no. its for a reason.. and plus I read here the stuff people eat after surgery and im totally shocked.. Im not messing this up.. Ive got a 2nd chance..and im not gonna sabatoge this or ruin it in anyway. keep up the good work of getting back on track.. it does get easier and the weight just falls right off.. its great.

    Hey all!

welcome to the losers club.. wait til more comes off.. you will be amazed.. Im down 40lbs and cant believe it.. and welcome to the site.. best place to be for all sorts of things.. advice.. just to listen.. just to vent.. good recipes.. shake ideas when yours become intolerable. but congrats on the loss.. and welcome.
  17. I guess Im not that far out to have "binge" eating.. My tummy cant hold much at the moment..and there is nothing that I like anyways other than sugar free popsicles. those are the only thing that make me happy.. everyting I eat is good on the first bite..then after that.. its not so good.. I dont crave anything.. nor do I feel hunger.. I do drink a lot of fluids.. that worries me that I might get that urge to eat the bad stuff.. Im doing good so far even when the people at work are all going lets oder pizza and fried chicken.. so far Ive been really good and said no sorry.. I cant eat that stuff.. and you know.. I dont miss that either..hard to hear myself say that.. But that is a good thing I believe.. just keep on track you have done a fabulous job.. wow what a weight loss.. please dont resort back to bad habits.. get yourself a good support group.. I have my hubby who went thru the same surgery.. so we keep each other in check.. and I cant wait to be where you are at that weight loss.. best of luck.. just keep coming here.. we will help you

    TUMMY TUCK TOMORROW MORNING

I had this conversation with my doc yesterday.. he said for sure you will want to have surgery.. because no matter how hard you try.. the skin will prolly not go back to its natural way.. so with that said.. he said wait about 18mo to 24 mo before I do that.. I said ok no problem.. and he said he was sure my insurance would pay for that if it was medically necessary..and he said he could fix that too.. LOL I love my Doc.. thank you for everything..and my nurse Brenda.. she is the best nurse anyone could have.. I cant wait to be a new me.

    Airline Seat Belt Extension

I will be flying again in May.. I hope I dont need an extension.. that is a goal for me.. I have my own..and I dont want to have to whip it out... and I know the folded arm thing to stay in my space.. usually I get next to a window so I can lean that way and pretend to sleep or do a puzzle and stay in my space..and I dont do the bathroom on an airplane cuz of my weight.. not sure I would fit..and I dont like them anyways.. but would be nice to be able to drink on a flight and not worry.. plus the rides at the amusement park will be fun once I can fit into them again.. would love that.. but the flying thing for me is a biggy since I fly often on vacations.. maybe I wont have to rent an SUV and can save money on a small car rental on vacations lol.

    For Distance Runners

Im 5 weeks post op.. and I dont know where to start with the gym.. I was just cleared yesterday from my doc to do what I need to do in the gym.. but there is no list of what it is Im suppose to do.. maybe I need a trainer to get me started I dont know.. but with my surgery I got a 3 month free coupon to the gym at the hospital where I work and where I got my surgery.. so I want to take advantage of that.. any suggestions to start?

    Four little words...

wow hope I get to mutter those words.. skinny jeans.. not sure when that will be.. but if I make it to that point.. wait lemme change that.. WHEN I make it to that point.. I will be sooooooooooo happy.. never wore pants that were sized like that.. usually wore guys pants.. they were comfy.. and that was like a size 34 waist.. so wasnt too bad. cant wait for single digit clothes.. congrats on that too.. keep up the good work.. good things really do come to those of us who are patient and do the right things.

all you can eat crab legs!

I had a food funeral.. but all I did was go out to dinner for one last delicious fattening meal.. had prime rib.. baked potato..and green salad.. plus tater skins.. no dessert..and one last bubbly mineral water.. that was my funeral before starting my full liquid diet for the week before surgery.. I think I did quite well on that... no regrets..

I had stopped.. its a miracle lol.
