    Here I am before! I'm 38 in this photo. And here's a selfie from last week. you decide. I'm 41 and I've always looked a lot younger. Now I am looking more my age.. and I expect to look even older as I shed more pounds... I have made peace with it.. To me the youthful appearance that excess weight provides does not necessarily mean you LOOK BETTER fat. just younger. I liken it to people with ridiculously long beautiful hair.. their hair might look amazing, but the individual would probably look overall better with a cute hairstyle that flattered their face. ..... so yeah I'll take the hit in the "youthful face" department because overall I'm looking and feeling better than ever.

    oh where to begin. I've got two years plus on many people here.
    I drink with a straw all the time (but I didn't for the first few months)
    I had to have a come to my senses talk with myself that I can no longer drink more than two drinks in a couple of hours since I weigh a lot less than i used to.
    I count my caffeinated coffee toward my fluids for the day.
    I hate taking my Calcium and have to talk myself into it. (It doesn't fit in my pill holder so it's an extra step to count them out and take them.)
    If it's on the no list, I have eaten it, including celery, coconut, spicy, you name it.
    I ate Pork rinds for months and counted the Protein until someone mentioned that the Protein in pork rinds is not absorbed so it doesn't count.
    I had to reset my bounce range because after getting to goal I spent some time eating enough crap to sink a battleship.

    2 miles this morning. 5 total so far. Now I get to put on a suit and go to a wedding for people I don't even know. Wedding reception food is always so healthy......NOT. Worst part is it's one of those "no booze" kinda weddings. Seriously, how do people get married without booze? I don't even drink but a wedding makes me wanna start.

    I did 4 double unders in a row which is 4 more then I have ever done working towards 100 in a row by end of month.
    Today: 2 miles, 195 GHD sits, 182 back extensions and 22 double unders in a 9 min workout. My infantile skill at double unders held my total reps back. Tired and aching after this week...
    Still am trying to do a single overhead squat and failing. Will keep working at it. On my 6 month plan to do 1 - lol.

    First day of the new month is now in the books. 3.85 miles walked. Knee has been feeling pretty good the last few days. I am hoping to get a ride or 2 in this weekend now that all the rain is gone. Let's have a great month everyone and welcome to all the new faces!     I'm in for 2,000 bodyweight squats,3,000 desk pushups and 200 miles on the bike outdoors and/or elliptical/indoor bike depending on weather. I didn't make my goal last month but I still feel good about making progress!

    I am 7 months out and for dinner I just enjoyed 2.5 ounces of ribeye steak, 1/3 cup of garlic mashed potatoes, and a small scoop of spinach/onion/tomato for veg. Not a typical meal for me, but it was leftovers from a dinner out and It was delicious and sooooooooo satisfying. At first, I did struggle a bit with the small portions, but now when I put this amount on my plate it seems normal.
    I know others have said it already, but what you are going through is TEMPORARY. Once you're able to eat and are able to fill up on solid Proteins, you'll have very little room for the pastas and breads that you crave. Just keep telling yourself that you have the REST OF YOUR LIFE to enjoy your favorite foods in moderation. You can handle a few more weeks without them!

    I've been thinking about this thread since Butter first posted it, so I'm finally putting my goals out there.
    1. Maintain a minimum of 3 gym workouts a week.
    2. Increase weight by 10 lbs on each exercise.
    3. Complete the 30 day plank challenge. (I'm going to print this out & tape it to the TV cabinet so I remember every day.)

    I'm in. I'm Carson and I didn't "officially" join for October even though I am trying for the 100 mile mark. I am at 93 miles and some change so far so I should make it, I started out strong but then we got some rainy weather and had some busy days at work and blah blah blah. It doesn't matter. I'm shooting for 125 miles walked/run/elliptical (I'm doing couch to 5K as well, just can't seem to get through the week 1 completely and I alternate that with my elliptical). I also am going to shoot for a resistance work out 3 days a week. Let's GET IT y'all!

    I'm in for 30 hours of exercise this month! I'm almost 2 months out and hoping to get cleared at my appointment next week to do any exercises (so far only officially cleared for walking).
