  1. How tall are you? I am 5'2 CW is 153 I usually wear an 8 on bottom or when I buy waist size a 28 in most jeans and I buy medium tops that are generally roomy(I just won't buy a small yet):) I am hourglass shaped...

    I'm 5'...very short! I carry most of my weight around my stomach and abdomen:-( killer on my back! I haven't taken measurements but I'm wearing 13/14...depending on the jean brands. I THINK I have some that are size 12. Idk what shape I am...butt, legs and boobs have been the first things to go lol...

  2. Last night I weighed myself and I FINALLY weigh less than my husband! By two pounds! Woo-hoo! When I went to my 6 month checkup' date=' I had met my surgeon's goal for me and was told I could skip my 9 month check up. I am quite content where I am at. food and Vitamins are still a struggle. I focus on Protein. I have slowed to about 4-6 lbs per month and I am often gaining and losing the same couple of pounds when I weigh myself but at the end of the month I still have a net loss. I am in small tops and size 8 bottoms at NY&CO. I ordered a pair of medium yoga pants from Old Navy and they are a bit big! Unfortunately all this weight loss has cause me to go down several bra sizes too. I need to get measured again. After being a DD I never thought that implants would be on my radar but they are now!

    SW/HW: 224

    CW: 155 (surgeon's goal was 168)

    I am still overweight per BMI but I feel thin. And people tell me I look skinny so who knows. I just wish I could eat food without feeling sick. It's just not fun so I tend to not eat. I know that's not good but I hate feeling bad. Wonder if that ever changes or if that's what we signed up for. At the rate I am going with food intake, I am worried I will keep losing to the point of being too skinny.

I don't want a Tummy Tuck (and don't have hanging skin so it wouldn't be covered by insurance per my NP) but I am thinking some Lipo in my lower stomach and upper inner thighs.     I'm at 155# also but I'm still in a size 13/14. Tops I'm wearing medium to large depending on the shirts. I have seen a lot of ppl on here at this weight and all r under a size 10 in jeans and med to small in tops. Ugh I'm still happy with my progress but frustrated sometimes with the weight around my tummy! Congrats on ur loss:-)

  3. I used mashed avocado it has higher fat than some substitutes but healthy omegas and lots of other nutrients I use half an avocado in a whole 10oz tuna tin which is way more than one serving.

    I'm goin to try the avocado with my tuna. I usually use mayo with olive oil but I'm kind of getting tired of tuna. So maybe the change will be good!

  4. I finally went in to my 6 month appt. I hate the dr scale bcuz it said 158.8#. Well my scale says 156.2#. He says I'm 2# away from what he thought I would hit. I'm hoping to hit 150# during the summer! I'm happy overall bcuz total weight lost is 67#! Thank God for this sx:-) thanks to my hubby pushing me to do it!

    I bought a breville juicer and its awesome! How much of each ingredient do u use? Do u add Protein to ur juices? I'm just worried I won't get enough Protein in daily.

  6. I couldn't keep the bariatric ones down:-( so I buy mine at Walmart and have been doin great with them! If ur losing then I wouldn't sweat it! At first I was worried about carbs with mine but saw that I was still losin so I just don't give it a second thought. It was either vomiting everyday or taking in a little more cals and carbs...ill take the cals and carbs anyday:-)

  7. On how much of each ingredient is pretty much up to u so I don't have an exact for each.

    Orange roughy (fish)

    Crab meat

    Shrimp

    Avocados

    Cucumbers

    Red onion

    Cilantro

    Limes(some ppl use less lime juice)

    Olive oil(optional)

    I cut the Orange roughy and crab meat into small pieces and place in a bowl. I add lime juice of about 15-20 limes to fish and crab meat. Cover and set in fridge for about 2-3 hrs. Stir every once in a while.

    Then I boil shrimp with a little salt.

    I cut cucumbers, onion, and avocados into small pieces. Then add it all together to fish and crab meat. Then add salt and cilantro ti taste. Olive oil 1-2tbsp just depends if u want to add. Then cover the bowl and set in fridge for at least 1-2hrs. Mix it around a couple of times. The longer it all sits mixed the better it tastes! I luv to make it and serve it next day but that's us!

  8. Was sleeved in November. My weight loss has always been on the slow side. I lost 52 lbs so far. I must admit' date=' my food choices have been terrible. I have no limits lately. Eating a lot of junk food. Since surgery I have been eating bigger portions than I should. I was convinced and still am that my surgeon didn't cut out as much of my stomach as she was supposed to. I know I had stomach surgery, not brain surgery, buy I did not expect to be able to still eat the way I am. Unfortunately I am able to handle everything. Once in a while, if I eat to fast, I vomit. Suggestions please on how to get back on track.. Don't want all my hard work to be wasted.

    I was sleeved in November also and have lost 54# since sx. I usually eat every 3hrs but when i dont i get hungry. I'm eating more also but my nut said I would be as time progressed but nothing to what I used to wat before. I too have indulged in rhings I shouldn't. I will allow myself a sliver of something sweet when we eat out and I find that it helps. I carry beef Jerky, Pork rinds, and fruit for a snack. Sometimes thats the only way to gwt my fruit servings in. I eat more at home than I do when we eat out so I keep busy! I even bought a fitbit and i make it a goal to gwt my 10k steps a day! I feel ur pain bcuz its getting harder but I just keep my eye on the goal. Good luck and let me know if u find something else that might help!

  9. Here is a yummy dinner we enjoyed tonight. Very fresh and no need for oven during summer time.

    1 lb cooked jumbo shrimp (detailed and chopped)

    1.5 medium avocado diced

    2 med Tomato seeded and chopped

    1/4 cup red onion diced

    1/4 cup cilantro chopped

    juice of 2 Limes (mix 1 tbsp olive oil)

    1/2 piblamo pepper diced

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Combine all ingredients and serve.

    5 servings

    Each serving has

    Calories: 220

    Fat: 11 g

    Carb: 9 carb (4.2 gram fiber)

    Protein: 21.5 g

    Try it out!

    I have a recipe that is a little different...its called ceviche. If u want the recipe let me know! I usually just prep my lunch before I go work and shrimp, cucumbers and avocados with lemon juice is my fave and simple:-)

    Stats similar! I've been at 158# since the 14th...this has been ny biggest stall! Anyone juicing to break a stall or just help with weight loss? I'm worried to do it bcuz toi many carbs and sugars. Info anyone?

  11. What are people feeling about the hanging skin? I find I am still not wanting to wear anything sleeveless because of all the skin hanging under my arm.

    I am thinking plastic surgery next year but for now??? Will lots of gym work do the trick? I am thinking about working on muscles in a serious way. Does anyone know if this will noticeably help?

  12. Lol I thought I was goin crazy! I too get crazy hungry but I'm fighting it! If i skip a snack its really bad but I've been keepin super busy cleaning house I barely have time to eat and that helps! When I'm sitting watching tv that's also when I get the urge to just snack but I work in my fruit serving because I'm still not getting enough carbs.

  13. From Lubbock. Had my surgery 3/6/13 in Wichital Falls with Dr. Finnel. I'm down 60 lbs. Very happy!

    From Amarillo here...wow that's awesome! I'm down 64# from my highest weight. My sx was on nov 20th. Goin in for my 6 month check up soon!

His scale was nicer than my home scale it read 157 and my Dr. was very happy with my progress :) He said my weightloss will make a U on the graph because the more I lose the harder it will get which I believe bc in the 11 weeks since my last visit to my Dr. I lost 17 lbs and that is much less then weeks before but the 1-2Lbs./week loss rate is where he wants his patients at this point.27 more till goal!!!

    Lol...congrats! I went into my nutritionist appt Tues and that's what I had lost since my last appt. I'm hopin to pull a little more off by the end of the month!

  15. This is a great article! My carb intake is on average 70g and under. My nutritionist said that's not enough. She wants me to consume 90-120g a day. I've tried but can't seem to do it. There r even days that I go as low as 20g.

  16. Had a possibly TMI NSV yesterday.. I am basically blind without my glasses' date=' I need things to be within 6 inches or so to see clearly so shaving my legs has been pretty hit or miss (mostly miss) for many years.. Yesterday I was able to bend over and actually see what I was doing :) I was pretty proud.

    That's how I feel too! Lol I can actually tie my shoes without feeling like I'm short of breath! I'm down from 22 size jeans to size 13. I can actually shop in the regular sizes now. My goal is 11# for the last wk of may when I go in for my 6 month check up!

  17. Today is my birthday. I had a goal to reach 100 lbs lost by today. I am sitting at 87 lbs lost. :( I am sad that I didn't reach this mark' date=' but I know I will sometime in the near future.     Happy birthday! Awesome job on the weight loss! I have lost only 50# from sx so u have done freaking great! Don't be sad be proud of urself bcuz that's a huge accomplishment:-) good luck on the rest of ur journey!
