:help:Hi guys, I know there is a list somewhere on here on things that are good to have on hand after surgery but can not find it. Can anyone help out there? I know heating pad, gas x strrips etc.. was on there. Thanks for any help you can give banding coming up very soon, getting very nervous!

I have had many medical issues including kidney stones referred to "a small child" Through all of it my husband says I have no pain tolerance, and he is prety much right. My concern is when I have this procedure does anyone know if Dr. Spivak is compasionate when it comes to prescribing pain med and just how strong he will prescribe?? Thanks

Hi mine is 32 and Dr. Spivak in houston will do it for me. I also am private pay so I think that makes a differnce. He just wants to make sure you do not see it as a easy way out. What part of the country are you in?

Getting banded in July and I have struggled with this question for the last few weeks. My very best friend in the world belives in everything natural and I am afraid of her trying to talk me out of it although i know she would support me in the end. I did tell my sister in law, she is a RN (also very close to) and things did not go so well. After that experience I have decided to tell only my husband and personal trainer that I have been working with. Maybe I will change my mind after but till now i do not want the negative opinions.

ok I have a pain tolerance of about 1. What happy pills did you get? I thought we would not be able to swallow pills? Also how was Dr. Ortiz and the hospital? I have been researching him and Tijuana (a little scared there). There they keep you in the hospital for 2 days here (houston) you are out ina few hours. What is the difference? :youcandothis: ok while not being able to sleep much last night trying to make a decision on lapband I realized that in the seminar that Dr. Spivak said he secured the lapband with 2 stitches. What he did not mention is how does the port stay in place? You guys are so helpful here, thanks so much

Can anyone tell me if drinking a lot of water causes any issues? I have water in my hand or near by at all times.

Hello, I am seriously considering the lapband procedure but was wondering if anyone knows which hospital would be better to go to when using Dr. Spivak. He seems to be the choice of most people in the houston area. Thanks for your help. I have so many questions!!!!
