    Greys Anatomy!

I've seen plenty of odds piercings in my career, but not vajazzle-- yet.
  2. This looked good. Can make them up ahead of time. Maybe omit bread crumbs because of carbs... or change the kind of cheese for little kids http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/217151/blue-cheese-spinach-meat-loaf-muffins?ms=1&prop25=103018826&prop26=DailyDish&prop27=2013-01-13&prop28=DailyRecipe&prop29=FullRecipeLink&me=1

    Greys Anatomy!

Yes, my house too. Greys gets the highest priority on the DVR. I love, love, love Greys!!
  4. When I went to visit mine, she spent 90% of her time trying to force feed me and the other 10% bitching about my weight. She's all of 120 lbs and has no clue what this is like.
  5. No offense was meant! Apologies to you and yours. My mom tries to sabotage me at every turn. Glad they are supportive.
  6. Raggmopp-your story is my story nearly word for word. Except I'm 42 and my son is 20. :-)
  7. Oh. My. God. I'm so glad mine will be done in the US.

    had my psych eval today

Phew! I was sure you we're getting ripped off somehow! EKG makes more sense!
  9. I'm pretty lucky because I work for a HCA hospital and have Cigna. Everyone I know here who had had either sleeve or bypass have all been approved. Maybe they figure it's cheaper for them in the long run.

    had my psych eval today

Oh ok. It just seems weird to me. Well good luck with everything else! I'm just waiting on my last physician visit next month then everything goes to insurance. So excited!
  11. Arcus, until I read all the way through the thread I was going to say that your company is prob at least partially self-funded and thats why gastric surgery is excluded-- they can pick and choose to exclude alot of high dollar surgeries to keep their costs for the corporation's insurance as low as they can.

    had my psych eval today

But MRI of what?? I'm an X-ray and Ultrasound tech so I'm curious as to what you'd have an MRI of before gastric surgery. I've never even heard of that before now.
  13. Ok. First month of pre- open diet went ok. Lost 5#. Second month gained back 2 because I got lazy. It was SO HARD around Christmas. I had family here for two weeks, did all the cooking. Went out to eat a couple of times, tried so hard to be good. This diet is kinda like a modified Atkins. Basically I can have everything except added sugar, milk, bread or starchy vegetables. I can eat fruit with the exception of a few. I got really constipated, felt icky from all the meat and eggs and when I wasn't constipated from the meat, I got diarrhea from all be the salad I switched to. My gut is all messed up and I feel awful that I have done so badly this last month. How do I change 42 years of eating habits in three months? Despite the high protein. I still have horrible food cravings. I'm so frustrated with myself and I'm afraid my insurance won't approve me if they feel I'm not even trying. On top of it all, I have Lupus, and I think I'm having a flare up and I feel exhausted all the time and I'm sleeping a lot more than usual. No amount of sleep I get will help until this flare I'm having goes away. I did order samples of Syntrax nectar and protein shakes. I how that helps.

    Any Tennessee Sleevers Out There?

Anyone in Nashville area know how long it takes to get approval from Cigna? I have my last pre-op nutrition class next week, see Dr. again at end of Feb., then they submit all to Cigna. I was kinda hoping for surgery in March. I'm going through program at Centennial.

    Birth Control and Surgery

It amazes me how ignorant people can be. I would tell that nurse to can the attitude and mind her own damn business. And your doctor? Find a new one who will be more supportive in your decision. My PCP does those Ironman competitions and his wife, who I work with, is a bodybuilder and does those competitions in a bikini. I never dreamed when I got my results for my yearly blood work that he would suggest this surgery. He was all over it! He didn't make me feel like a failure. He just sat down with me and explained how each of those abnormal cholesterol, blood sugar, triglyceride levels were slowly killing me. That got my attention pretty quickly.

I believe my PCP is NUTTS!

Dang! My PCP suggested the surgery and I thought he was the crazy one! He does those Iron Man competitions and I figured he'd just want me to diet and exercise more. Totally surprised me.

    Found My True Friends

Fatfreeme...know just how you feel. Worked same job 20+years and when we moved, ONE person has consistently stayed in touch. I defriended everyone else from Facebook and when I did that, the one good friend said someone asked her if I was "too good for them" now. She replied "No. She's too good to waste get time on people she hasn't heard from since she walked out the door." Thank God for her. I know who my true friends are. The rest of them can just suck it.
