It's not always about the scale

Amen. I went in for my six month check up and was told I was not where I needed to be. Guess what, I was fine with that. I have went form a size 26 to a size 16. So guess what, it is okay. Highest weight 272 lbs, at appointment 229 lbs. This is with me being on monthly girly visit. One nurse told me we have to get you back on track and one said, if you don't lose another pound it is okay considering you have not been this weight in over twenty years. Today, about three weeks after appointment, now 196 lbs. They don't everything. They are skinny in the office, without weight loss surgery. Took it with grain of salt.

Once you've had the surgery and start seeing results you will have the same response most of us have, "Why didn't I do this sooner?". I love the new me. It does get easier, just make sure you're prepared mentally. Your food life will be very different. No more large portions, you'll love it. Food still tastes great you just don't eat as much to be satisfied.

    post op

Hello I'm six months out and I can eat basically everything, but not a large quantity, a we know the surgery prevents. (yeah sleeve!) Personally I don't eat pork or shellfish (scavengers of the sea). The surgery is the best thing I could've eve done in my life. I can eat what I want. I am now having a problem with remembering to eat. I love it. Welcome aboard.

  13. Thanks newat52, do you have a journal to track your pounds and inches, if not, your inches would put a smile on your face..
  14. It's going to be okay, this is new to a lot of us. Just keep drinking. Use your tool. That's what it is. Be strong. Have faith. Feed them meals you can eat too.and you won't be grazing.
