Most large practices won't disclose where a provider went. -
I can't drink plain cold water at all. I can drink cold water with crystal light or room temp plain water.

Tried the crem cheese pizza crust, and it's more like cheesecake. Was very rich and hurt my stomach. Tbe cauliflower one was more dough like, with a great flavor.

My skin was very dry immediately post op. I changed my foundation from MAC Studio Fix to MAC Mineralize, just so I wouldn't look so scaly during the day. I am a nurse, and I work for an awesome MD. She is friends with a nurse who is also a licensed aesthetician. About two months post op she treated me to a dermablade and mild glycolic peel. My skin looks much better still. She recommended Cera Ve for overall body moisture. I think now I am going to try some Botox and filler. -

Disolvable sutures...
doreen70 replied to danelle235's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine didn't dissolve. Four of my incisions got red, began to ooze purulent drainage. After a week or two, those sutures came out. -
At my one month post op visit, we discussed symptoms of a leak. We also discussed leaks discovered months after surgery. My surgeon sits on the panel that reviews malpractice and negligence in Louisiana. He said in reviewing the charts of patients that had these late leaks, something almost always didn't seem right from the beginning.

I buy a pair or two of jeans every month. I thought al my cute xxl sundresses would carry me thru summer but I was wrong. I'd wait to buy that outfit until you reach goal.

I have hypothyroidism. Was discovered in my last pregnancy nearly 12 years ago. Your thyroid function is essential for metabolism. The medication does not cause weight gain. In fact, around my 3 month mark my weight loss seemed stalled for a few weeks. My TSH was very elevated and my medication was increased. My weight started coming off. -

doreen70 replied to dma2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I keep baby bel cheese in the fridge, pistachios in my purse when I'm on the go. I also love Greek yogurt, cucumbers and fresh apples and pineapple. Sometimes I'll snack on a small salad. I'm 5 months out. -
I had surgery 5 months ago. On a typical day, I have two cups of real coffee with a tsp of Splenda and about 2 TBSP of half and half. Almost immediately I have cramps as then diarrhea. Doesn't happen if I have a cup in the evening after work though.

A few days ago, I started with a vague burning sensation near the top of my rib cage on the left side. When I stand perfectly straight, and hold my stomach in it is most noticeable. When I press on it, it burns, like something pulling or tearing. When it's palpated deeply, no increase in pain. It doesn't feel like its deep. A doc that I work with felt around, and doesn't feel a hernia. I do not have trouble eating. No nausea or vomiting, I'm regular, ad my gallbladder removed 6 years ago. Anyone have a similar problem?
