    Before and After Pics

These are my updates after pics. It's been nearly 8 months. Down 95 lbs so far-surgery weight 275, current 180 and I'm 5'7".
  2. Gorgeous. You should model.
  3. I lost band size and cup size. Went from 46 DD to 38 D. Plan on a lift with implants.
  4. My surgeon says his goal for me is 180. I weigh 189 as of this morning. My own goal is 160. That will put my BMI in normal range. I can't picture either. The 29 lbs vs 9 lbs seems equally unattainable.

    New during pic

    Thanks everyone!
  6. Yep. 7 ruptured discs here. I woke up daily with back pain, numbness to my legs. Some mornings I would have to drag my leg. After working a 12 hr shift, I would struggle to get in my SUV. As the weight started to come off, those pains are gone. Every now and then I feel a twinge in my hip and worry it will come back, but so far so good.
  7. Try dressing up the protein shake by adding some different flavors. I would add a few slices of banana and PB2 powder to my chocolate chike. Very good-but I drank mine with a straw because the smell of the protein powder grossed me out. Also, on the blog theworldaccordingtoeggface.com, she has recipes for protein shakes. Bottom line, you need it, start looking at it as a medication and take it.
  8. My hair started to fall out at four months. My surgeon said that there wasn't anything that I could take/use to stop it. It is called telogen effluvium. I did cut my hair very short so that I didn't have mounds of hair all over my house. Now at nearly seven months, when I wash my hair I don't have handfuls of hair.
  9. I could add beef and pork at 3 months. I tried steak and it didn't sit well. Tried it again at 4.5 months and I tolerated it just fine.
  10. Colace, you can get it over the counter.

    Anyone on thyroid meds

I have had hypothyroidism for 12 years. Prior to surgery I was on 150 mcg of synthroid. At month 4 post up I was increased to 175. About one month ago (5 months post op) my TSH was still elevated. Doc wants to repeat my labs.

    I want a salad!

I was cleared at three months. I can handle any of the lettuces. Dark green is the easiest. I had an Asian salad with napa cabbage- hurt like hell. That was at six months. But I can eat coleslaw without an issue.

    Snack

I was never a fan of beef jerky. Tasted weird and artificial. Then my son begged for a bag while we were at a trade show, and I tried it after our picky younger son said it was good. It's Stan's beef jerky, and you can order it online. The fajita flavor is outstanding!
  14. BMI is now in the overweight range. Can't wait for it to be normal.

    scared

    Yup. I'm in a loose 12 and still think I'm in a 20/22.
  16. I weigh twice daily-minimum. I'm fascinated with the loss. Surgeon says as long as I don't freak out when I gain, I can weigh daily. It is frustrating to see a few pound gain, and knowing I have to lose it all over again.
  17. So, it's not do bad that you have CDO.

    No longer obese!

Thanks y'all!! Congrats to all of us!!
  19. It only happens in the morning, and usually only once. I actually have never brought it up-I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago and haven't had a normal bowel movement since.
