    Sleeve: The UNTOLD Story

I had none of this. I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor. I remember waking up briefly after the surgery i was clothed. They didnt strip me naked anyway? There is a difference in between not having a solid stool and runny stool. I didnt have diarehha but i didnt have runny stool because there were not solids in my body on Water. But im sorry to hear about your negative experience and complications. I would hope that this does not deter others from Mi Doctor because the hotel and staff members are great. Rosie (coordinator) was also available the entire time that i was there. I didnt have a problem with waiting for surgery....i was chillin honestly. Time off of work, no kids, no spouse, just me the 2 american stations and my music.

    do u eat corn

I eat corn at least once a week and it has not affected any weight loss etc.....
  6. This is week 4 for me for those who are wondering. I started off at about 297 pre op got down to 288 before the surgery. At week four i am 259 pounds. Good for me right? I have had no side effects besides the gas and the acid. I have thrown up a couple of times, but not because of dumping, but because i either ate to fast or to much.Well on to the food..... I posted last week with the new foods i have been eating. Now i have introduced very think chicken breast and turkey bratwurst to my diet...no bread of course! I am having a fit because i want corn..... any way today will be the first day that i spend money on food....out. Im going to chipotle! ? No lettuce no rice or no bread it will be really weird. I just wanted to give everyone a glimmer of hope who are stuggling. I suffered the first couple of weeks with the low energy, head hunger, and constant hungry feelings. It will get better you have to stay patient. I hope that it works for you the way that you intended. Have a great day......
  7. I didnt worry myself with weight numbers or protein numbers at first. Its to difficult to take in food and keep it down. I just listened to my body and took my vitamins and supplements as directed. The weight will come off , it has no other choice. I wish i could eat 1000 calories a day! and im nearly 3 months out. My proteins come from other places other than meat because its so hard to keep down and stay down. A little advice would be listen to your body dont look at the scale because it will frustrate you. Listen to your body it wont steer you wrong. Good luck

    Constipation

I take a mild laxative every other day. My doctor said that i might have to do this for a while.
  9. Sorry the other pic isnt the best quality but im sure you get the picture. Im currently in week 12 Before 299.7 After 230.1
  10. I just took a couple days of Vacation and rested that weekend and went back to work on Monday morning.
  11. I work out in between 3 or 4 days a week. Honestly i sont count carbs and protein and things. Its so hard just to eat so i dont really worry. But i have limited how much carbs i eat. I dont eat things like fried chicken. I just to get food in....healthy foods
  12. Yes that is from Novemeber when i was sleeved. I've always been really athletic so i credit working out with the amount that i have lost thus far. I have slowed down considerably....1 pound here 2 pounds there lost. But its over all a good change and people have been saying that they didnt recognize me.
  13. I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia 11/19/12. Wonder time and experience with the staff and Dr. Garcia himself. I took the week off of the surgery, rested the weekend and went back to work with little to no restrictions the following Monday.
  14. I havent really hit the plateau and dont plan on it!

  15. I would do soup. As it is still liquid and easier to get out of your digestive tract than a piece of chicken. I cheated on my pre-op diet i had mozzerella sticks. I understand your pain......I felt like i was so hungry.

    Self-Pay Sleevers

I went the mexico route a little more than 2 months ago and i paid about 4k. No problems no complications and i stayed in a excellent hotel with wonderful service.
  17. I am currently studying in a doctoral program. I stayed in Mexico for 5 days. I havent missed any assignments, i wasnt bedridden or in pain. I went back to work after the weekend. I got a A- in the course in November when i had the surgery.
  18. I was sleeved a couple of days before thanksgiving....i know sucks right?...and to date roughly 50 pounds.

    Straws!

I was told not to use straws due to the fact that it might increase the air in your sleeve and expand it as well as it allows you to drink more at one time which might also expand your sleeve....oh yea drinking to much at once hurts like hell!

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

Im on week 8. I havent told anyone about my sleeve just yet and havent went on many dates were i have had to explain my lack of eating or drinking. It would be good to talk to someone who could relate and not judge me. Im a young successful guy someone would cherish that right?
  22. The card or passport work fine. The passport card is more convient because you can get in and out of the dreaded long entry and departing lines into mexico faster. You can scan your passport card before you get to the booth and it transports the information from your card to the agent in the booth, while you might be 4 5 or 6th in line.
  23. The weight will come off you have to be patient. At your weight the weight will fly off. The people who are heavier lose more usually then the people who are smaller. I to have felt like this when the scale doesnt budge. You need to make sure your Fluid intake is good and you should be fine. Good Luck,
  24. Here is a pic or me before the surgery about a month out and a pic of myself at 8 weeks down about 42 pounds.
