I think that feeling will go away. I am happy everyday. My finance and I order pizza every Friday. Pre-op I would eat 6 slices easy. Post-op I eat 1 to 1.5 slices max. To me that is phenomenal. I get the same satisfied feeling. (I am 18 months out)

It's easy for binge behavior to transform into grazing behavior post op because that's what our sleeve allows. So it's good you're asking for help.
One - I'll always bring it up first, so don't be offended - check your PPI. Is it really only mental or is it acid, too? Just double check it any time you feel hungry or when you're poking your head in the fridge too often.
Two - what's your diet like? Are you low carbing? Fill me in. Because a lot of times, your body will start to absolutely CRAVE those foods it needs for your mental and physical well-being. If you're more freshly sleeved and only really have room for Protein now, consider rethinking your eating plan to incorporate more quality grains and vegetables. That might help with the desire to eat and give you back some control. Men do excellently on Atkins but women tend to need a better balance to feel satisfied. You might also need more calories than you're consuming. I don't know your diet so I can't say, but I'm happy to try and offer suggestions if you are open to that.
Three - You have a choice here and you're in control of what you choose to consume. Water always helps. An extra Protein shake will never hurt you. If your body tolerates them well, fibrous veggies are filling and good for you. Do you drink tea? A warm cup of tea will curb your appetite and is comforting to hold and sip over a longer period of time, often long enough for us to forget we were feeling peckish. Find something you can comfortably eat without compromising your nutritional goals.
Four - cravings happen. It stinks. During my cycle I could eat paint chips off the walls. It's gotten better as I've gotten farther out from surgery but it's not uncommon. And our hormones are very wacky in the first year post op. So it's possible that you've simply been burning off fat cells (which I've read store our hormones) and are feeling the effects of that. The choice is yours: indulge or distract yourself.
Good luck. It's pretty normal to hit these points off and on and you're definitely not alone. Having no physical hunger is great but really, physical hunger isn't why we were obese in most cases! It's breaking all of these habits and food cycles we get into that will really help us change for good.

Diluted Minute Maid low-cal orange juice. I can't live without it and by the time it's diluted, it's only 25 calories a glass- plus it has calcium! Now if only I could find a non-creamy, orange flavored Protein to add to it!

    1cup of plain greek yogurt
1/2 cup of either 1% milk or buttermilk
1 packet of hidden valley ranch dressing mix (dressing mix NOT dip mix)
blend with hand mixer and you have awesome low fat low cal ranch dressing.
not sure on the buttermilk, but if you use 1% it has 255 calories and less than 2 grams of fat in the entire almost 16 oz jar or ranch dressing! mmm mmm good.

Tons of interesting recipes I want to try on this blog.
    Frozen Protein Drops

A quick and easy, weight loss surgery friendly frozen Protein snack...

Shelly's Frozen Protein Yogurt (or Pudding) Drops

1/2 cup Greek Yogurt (or sugar free Pudding)
3-4 Tablespoons (to taste) of any Protein Powder

Mix together till well combined. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and drop tablespoons of the mixture (yields about 25 drops)

or fill an ice cube tray.

Freeze till solid about 2 hours. Store in the freezer (up to a week or so) and pop a few in your mouth whenever you want a frozen protein treat or add to smoothies for an extra protein boost instead of ice.

In this batch I used Celebrate ENS in strawberry & chocolate Milk. I had weight loss surgery in one of the hottest summers on record. I would have LOVED these that summer. I kept hearing the music of the ice cream truck driving by the house and it about drove me nuts.

It does taste like sour cream.
I've also mixed a little sugar free jelly in it and I've tried it with a little Peanut Butter mixed in.
Not great but it did change the taste

Warm a 3 oz can of chicken. Then spoon in 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt. Then sprinkle a little reduced sodium taco seasoning over it and mix everything together. Mexican flavor!!!

I use in place of sour cream and it was the same to me. On top of chilli for example. It also matters what brand. I tried chiobani and HATED it! Was too strong. I use fage now and love it! It has a much milder flavor. So not all Greek yogurts are created equal lol. I use in in place of cream or Mayonnaise sometimes. I made a Soup today that I wanted I make 'creamy' so I stirred in some Greek yogurt at the end. I also make a good home made ranch dressing with Greek yogurt, tiny bit of LF mayo, garlic powder, milk and black pepper. It's way better then any dressing in the bottle I've ever had. It's also great in tuna and chicken salad as mentioned. Experiment and you'll find lots of uses

    Hey guys,
Was sleeved in Dallas October 25. One thing I did not read (and I read alot on line, books, etc) was that the week after surgery you learn quickly about POSTURE!. I have to sit up very straight so my incisions do not get sore. AND, the first week I lost so many inches that one fat roll is no longer there day 4 and I have to sit even more differently--so the incision doesn't rub my pants waist. HA. who new good posture would be a Non surgical benefit?
