Finally! I live in a full house so something's always being cooked or bought for the kiddies. The first day i came home from the hospital mom made some jambalaya and corn and I was just about ready to hang myself (not literally) I didn't know how I was going to make it through the day. The food commercials weren't making it any better. I would wake up each day thinking about the food I'll be able to have in the upcoming months, regardless how small. Needless to say I was sending myself in a mild depression because I missed eating regular food. I thought I was going to always feel that way until this morning. Moms is in the kitchen making Breakfast right now & it's not phasing me one bit. I'm quite proud of myself! I hope I can maintain this attitude!! *fingers crossed*

Commited to eating right August 2012. Sleeved November 2012. Lost 100 lbs as of this morning since August 2012. I am so geeked! Also, I had a NSV this afternoon...had to show my ID and the clerk didnt reconize me by my license pic.....She said "is this you" I said "really" she said "is this you?" I whispered " as of this morn, I have lost 100 lbs, can you really tell?" She said "oh my, this doesnt even look like you" So all in all today was a wonderful day!
I love my sleeve, love the lifestyle, I dont feel deprived AT ALL! Why didnt I do this years ago............................

aw!!! i love when people tell me things like this because i remember being there not too long ago! its such a difference, i swear! ull love it. <3

Sadly I did cheat on mine.... I was good the first week but i cheated the most when i was supposed to be on Clear Liquids (smart right?) I ate countless bags of chips, nuggets and fries from McDonald, giant bacon burger and fries from jack in the box, brownies, and I drank one large sprite from jack in the box. Oh & a baked potato from Jason's deli the afternoon before my surgery my "last meal". I felt extremely bad & thought they were going to have to cancel the surgery but thankfully I was still able to have mine.Perhaps because I'm 23 and haven't really done too much damage to my liver even tho i drank like a fish (alcohol). I definitely had no self control and would advise no one to do what i did. Trust tho i won't be making that same mistake post op! I like my life lol

i made this post about a week ago.. i weighed myself today & i am now 147lbs! ive lost a total of 126lbs.

i made this post yesterday & it was 123lbs gone but i weighed in today and im now 124lbs down!!
i am officially 149lbs.
no more 50s!
14lbs away from my long term goal.
4lbs away from my short term goal.

just an update:
i was sleeved dec 20th, 2011.
im less than 11 months post op.
i started at 273lbs.
i am now 150lbs.
starting bmi was 51.6
my bmi now is 28.3
i am 15lbs away from my goal.

I know what you went through! Even though I don't feel hunger (yet, or any more!) my mom stayed with me after surgery until this morning. My first few days home, she's making pork roast with gravy, etc. Then 2 days later I wake from a nap smelling my childhood favorite, corn fritters! Really, Mom?!?! I was a little mad because it was my favorite and my girls weren't going to like them-they eat very light. Fried foods, except chicken, doesn't appeal to them. She overheard me tell my sister on the phone that I thought it was kind of insensitive for her to be frying up a batch of fritters, so she went on a cooking strike for a few days (too funny! Like I cared-I was on liquids!-lol!)

It sounds just like what I went through a couple weeks ago. In fact, my first thought when I came out of anesthesia was "Why the hell did I do this? I was happy being fat..."
Now, two weeks out that pain is pretty much gone and I don't regret it at all. Just do what they've told you to do post-op and in a couple weeks you'll be saying you've got no regrets to other people just like you

Well I was sleeved on Halloween spent two nights in hospital and came home yesterday. Such a mixture of emotions regret panic etc but know that this will be the hardest stage and if I can do this then will be ok have a lot of gas pain n hurts when I take a deep breath in but that's normal xx
