  1. I am almost at 2 days shy of two weeks and I am very head hungry I go to sleep thinking about food and wake up still thinking about food!! So last night I went out and bought cottage cheese and yogurts and refried beans!! When I got home I decided I would have cottage cheese and that helped!! I just needed to chew food!!!

  2. Yeah the left side. My Docs said that the left side is where they do most of the work, including inserting their stapler gun inside of us to stitch up our intestines and the abdominal muscle wall. So its "counterintuitive" but the more you walk (in spite of discomfort) the better you'll get. BUT remember to get your rest to because we just had major surgery.

Thanks for the info! Makes since why more pressure/discomfort on the left side!! Feeling great today! Went for a walk and moving around well! Heading back to work tomorrow!

Whats your story?? I would love to follow you!

  3. Meplus it gets better everyday. As someone else said get up and active (Even if its walking in the house). When it was my first few days home every two hours I walked, indoors, 300 - 500 steps. I did that until I had done 2500 steps for the day. Then I started into my Protein requirements (80 -100 grams a day), and my Water (64 ounces a day). If you do that you will feel better on a daily basis! :-) :-)

    Stay in touch.

  6. I'm 4 days out and I can legitimately say I had not had any real pain from the surgery. I have had a fair amount of discomfort (feelingi crazy bloated' date=' being stiff, a couple of moments of nausea) but I really really thought it was going to hurt, and for me at least it really really hasn't.[/quote']

Thank you so much for letting me know that I have recently had 2 friends who have had surgery. These past 2 weeks they are in a lot of pain...

  7. Complications can happen with any procedure and are just par for the course' date=' but it is a very small chance (less than 3%) that something will happen. I had the procedure done a little over 4 weeks ago - not a single complication, healed up beautifully, down 23 pounds and feeling AWESOME!

I knew that the risk of me having obesity related complications in life was much higher than the risk of me having the procedure. I am so grateful I went through with it. I have NEVER lost 23 pounds on my own and know that without this tool I would not be this far.

Good Luck to each of you. You will all do great! :) See you on the loser's bench soon....[/quote']

How much pain are you in after your surgery??
