Hard journey, murphys law I suppose, infection

Goodness, I hope you get to feeling better soon. So they say you have an incision infection? Or is it internally that has to be drained? Did they place a drain while you were in the hospital?

    I'm giving up________for Lent.

LOL Yep I've given up many of my pre surgery bad food habits which were my 'lent' give up things pre-surgery....and um, I'm not brave enough to give up the scale, I believe that holds me accountable.

    Not Brain surgery

Oh one day I hope to get to the place you are today mentally...Its definitely not that road for me... Wishing you great success on your journey!
  6. Cheri - Congrats on your loss! And your baby! Such a wonderful thing babies are, oh yea and weight loss too SleeveGirl-Tx - Your post is very inspiring! I have about 110 lbs from my starting weight to loose, and this gives me hope that it CAN be accomplished, even if it takes longer than expected. Supersweetums - Oh how I am hoping to follow in your footsteps and make these life changes permanent habits. I too think that I may not be able to keep ANY trigger foods in my house. Aroundhky - Congrats on your loss, sounds like you have had much success with being off your meds, and body fat percentages. Sometimes I need to remember that being healthy is a better goal than a scale number!

I'm a shortie tho, only 5'2" so I'm guessing my stomach may not have been as 'long' as others? nothing wrong with that, I wish I could drink a bit more actually...and it's a struggle to get that much lol Sent from my iPhone using VST

    How to break a stall?

At 22 days post op my recommendation would be up your fluids. :-) try adding crystal light to Water, decaf tea with Splenda, cucumber or lemon and a packet of Splenda to water. I found that if I have a bigger bottle of water 24+ oz and I have 2-3 of those per day helps. On a side note at 10 wks out today I'm just now hitting 64 oz. at your point I was hitting between 30-40 increasing day by day... Hope that helps -Cassie Sent from my iPhone using VST
  10. Jerky was big for me too, lots of Protein, my nut scolded me for the sodium content and said that's why partly I was in this last stall. I miss it... Sent from my iPhone using VST

    All of my December sleevers...

Amen!!! I could never sustain long term on 1200 calories before surgery, but I'm finding that between 7-900 post op is my happy place (for now) And Dana definitely agree with you on the do what works for you thing! We are all made up so differently and what I have seen on this board doesn't necessarily work for me just as what I do isn't always going to work for someone else... Sent from my iPhone using VST

Will the sleeve really help me?

I think gamer said it best at least in my scenario, you will still get that stuffed feeling just on much less food. For me I'm learning when to be ok with satisfied and not to take more bites and be stuffed.... Sent from my iPhone using VST
  14. That is so exciting. I am and have been slowly making my new habits at 9.5 weeks out, I'm down 40 lbs and I can't wait to come to that love myself point. I am not sure if I will ever get to that point but this gives me hope! I am in a much better place with food now than I ever was before surgery so maybe over time... Thanks for sharing your positive story. Sent from my iPhone using VST
