Hitting a weight loss plateau this soon?
I was thinking the same thing too that it would probably help to try to get my calories up to around 1000 so I could get out of starvation mode after being overweight my whole life my body is super efficient at holding onto fat..lol

Whats wrong with me?
Thanks everyone for this post! I just got on the scale & for the second morning in a row I was up a little bit & I was starting to freak out. I'm 3 weeks out and I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I'm so glad to hear that it is normal.

This time tomorrow i will be done
Good Luck! Yesterday was 3 weeks post op for me. One thing I will say, don't let how you feel freak you out when you wake up. I felt HORRIBLE! But that only lasts for a couple of days. At a week out I already felt pretty normal. And now, at 3 weeks out, I am exercising, just walking so far, and eating my purees softs and loving my sleeve. I'm down 18 since surgery! I wish you all the best on your exciting journey!

20 NSV's!
Congratulation so encouraging! I think sometimes we focus on the number instead of all the victories like those along the way!

14 days post surgery
my surgery was 5/13, I was 269.5 day of surgery than first week dropped 14 lbs, and since then? nothing...I actually went up a couple of days and then back down to here but I'm not discouraged, I figure my body is trying to figure out what the heck I did to it. I did take my measurements at the start of this journey and I took them again yesterday and am down 10" overall so I know it is moving but I can't see it, I also put my scale in the top of the closet yesterday, I was weighing everyday and that can make you nuts! I'm going to weigh once a week and if I'm still freaking out I may change that to once a month!

Saying hello I am starting my new journey
Good luck to you on your journey! I wish you all the best

Unsupportive Family Members
I got some of the most supportive comments from people I would never have expected it from and some of the most negative from some of my closest friends and family. I do believe they are scared for us but at the same time people who aren't in your shoes don't understand. Obesity is a disease with massive dangers all by itself. Diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, constant joint pain and muscle aches and yes early death. I explained it to these people in those terms. I also explained something the NUT at my doc's office told me that I have found invaluable, the surgery doesn't cure my disease, but it does put it in remission so that I can learn to deal and live with it daily. This is your journey, no one else's. It took me years to decide to do this for myself. Now, 10 days after surgery I wouldn't change my decision and I feel optimistic about my future for the first time in years. Remember to trust and put faith in yourself! You are worth this!

Did anyone else have a lot of pain in the area of the lower right incision?
Mine was the same way, very dented in and always a painful pulling sensation on that one incision, luckily by day 5 as the swelling started going down it wasn't dented in and the pain lessened, now at 9 days post op barely feel it at all mainly only when bending down
-
Diarrhea -help!
I had the same thing start about 2 days after surgery but only for a few days, doc said it was normal

What's wrong with me?
I felt the same way and now I'm proud to say I am an official sleever having had my surgery on 5/13. I still get a little freaked out thinking about all the changes, for me it was the fact that food has been a constant source of comfort to me my entire life. So, don't worry it's normal to be confused and a little scattered in how you feel, if will be worth it to look forward to a much healthier future!
