    Meatballs

ones I make are super easy....1 lb ground beef or turkey, 1 small onion diced finely, italian seasonings to taste, 1 beaten egg, 3 T. grated parmesan, 1/4 c. breadcrumbs (regular or italian) mix all together and done, also I cook mine in a mini cupcake pan sprayed with cooking spray, I cook them on 350 for about 15 minutes, you can flip them halfway if you'd like but not necessary...enjoy

    I Can Run! Can You?

for boob issues while running try the Enell Sports Bra...I'm not going to lie it is ugly as sin but keeps my girls in place, about the only one I've found that does

    I Can Run! Can You?

wow you are all amazing! I managed to drag myself through a half marathon in 2011 walking only, but after I'm sleeved, I hope to run marathons and triathlons. The picture in my head of that finish line keeps me motivated to keep going. Again congrats to you and always celebrate every victory!

    Before and After - 241 to 128

You look fantastic! Great job, congrats!
  6. It happens! I have a 3 months of insurance requirements that say I should be losing weight. For the first TWO MONTHS it was like I couldn't stop eating, it was so much worse than it had been before. Now rounding out my final month I have calmed down and actually lost a few pounds. I'm not sure if it's the same for you, but for me it was complete panic eating. Food has been my best friend for most of my life and the thought of losing it was freaking me out. I made some simple adjustments, things that sound silly but really help me, I found alot of inspirational quotes and put them up in the office and at home so I see them several times a day, my favorite "Discipline is just choosing between what you want now & what you want MOST"...remember you are worth being healthy and happy. Other than that, I keep a glass of ice with me at all times and chew on the ice. It satisfies my need to be chomping on something (especially when I'm anxious) and no calories and helps with fluid intake. Good luck! YOU CAN DO THIS
  7. looking great! I can't wait to get my sleeve (hoping next month!) I hope I do as well as you are and can keep a positive attitude, great job!
  8. If you have the $100 I would pay it, my dietitian is at the doc's office and it makes it so much more convenient
  9. I had to do 3 month insurance requirements of meetings with the dietician but didn't change my diet drastically. I only had to lose 5 pounds but have lost 10. My last appointment is March 20th & then everything goes to the insurance for approval. I have been told that for 1or 2 weeks before surgery I'll be on a mostly liquid diet. Bluck! But I truly believe all of this will be more than worth it.
  10. Congrats on your decision, I also debated for a long time about else but now I'm hoping to have all my requirements completed this month & in for surgery next month. Good luck to both of us on our exciting journey!
  11. You look fantastic! Congratulations on your success, you are an inspiration.

    New here!

I just completed my psych appt. & have 1 more month of preop diet to go then hopefully will be sleeved in April. The process for me was scary because I've never had surgery at all. But the docs are kind, understanding & ready to answer any questions you have. Good luck to you!
  14. Well I'm in my 1st of 3 months diet /exercise program my insurance requires & I'm eating everything in site! It's like I've lost control, my appt is next Wednesday & I'm scared I will have gain weight. Has anyone else had this "panic" eating?
  15. Good luck to you! I'm in southern Mississippi & hoping to have all the insurance hoops conquered to have surgery in March. I think with any type of surgery it's a good idea to have someone to help you out just in case. But hopefully you'll come through with flying colors

    Who I am...who am I

My hubby & I are going to be doing the surgery a few weeks apart if all goes well it will be sometime in March. I'm hoping we have good success also. He is going first & I've worried that he would lose so much so fast that it would discourage me if I lost alot slower.

  20. Being a triathlete is my goal also. I am just starting on my journey have about 6 month of insurance requirements to get through then hopefully will be sleeved. Thank you for sharing so much, I hope one day (far away) to be a iron man also
  21. Hello everyone! I am new to posting to the site but been following it for a few weeks now. I'm just starting the process, went to my first information session last Thursday and going to another one Tuesday as I'm trying to decide between two different clinics. I've been overweight my whole life but have tried to stay active. Now that I'm 40 that has gotten alot more difficult with alot of joint pain and just being tired all the time. I (so far) have been fortunate enough to not have developed many health issues, just sleep apnea. I completed a half marathon last year and had plans to do many more races as it was so enjoyable. Unfortunately I have gained more weight since then and it has gotten too uncomfortable to exercise for long at a time. That was what made me finally decide to move forward. All of you sharing your stories gave me a more realistic view of the surgery and made me feel like I could make it through this. Luckily, my insurance covers the surgery but I have to jump though some hoops. I have to follow a 3 month diet plan and join a gym for 3 months but not too bad. I still have to get my doc refer me and I see him next Friday. Here's hoping all goes well and in 4 or 5 months I am able to say "I'm a sleever!"
