I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that has done that! I think I've lost 10 lbs but I don't think the Surgeons office will be able to tell since I gained a bunch after the preliminary weigh in at the consultation. Sigh..... Oh well. I think I need to find a support group to go to...... Thank you to all of you for your responses and support!

I called my surgeons. Office. They weren't too happy. Told me to get back on track right away. Said that the surgeon requires the 2 week post-op diet in lieu of the "bowel prep" before surgery which consists of drinking a bottle of magnesium citrate and pooping your brains out for a day. Idk.... I think I'd like to have a "last meal" and go through the poop-a-thon for a day, rather than starve myself and be pooping my guts out anyway on all these liquids...... Anyone post-op that cheated on their pre-op diet out there???

I feel terrible. I've been on the mandatory 2 week pre-op liquid diet and I just binged.... Cookies, chips... Ugh. My surgery is in 5 days and I'm scared I'm gonna be denied surgery....I've lost 10 lbs already ad I just had a moment of weakness..... Has anyone else lost control during their pre-op? I need prayers!!!

Was it just a low-carb 1000 calorie diet?

Hey girl, don't be nervous, be excited!!!! lol. Easier said than done, i know, I've had those moments of feeling nervous and scared but I know this is the tool that we can use to be successful and healthy for the rest of our lives!!! I'm getting sleeved in Phoenix, AZ. Thank you for the prayers, I need them! I really struggled with the liquid diet this weekend....cheated but only with allowing myself a few bites of lean protein, so I figure it wasn't too bad as long as I keep my body in the ketosis fat-burning state it's in. Kudos to you for keeping on your liquid diet! Have u experienced any....um....bathroom problems? I feel like I'm going every 30 mins if I don't incorporate a little lean protein every 3-4 days or so.... I agree with the hungry feeling! It will be great to feel satisfied or full after a shake or protein....what exactly is making you the most nervous?

Day 1 my mandatory 2 week of pre op diet! So far so good. I miss coffee! I do wish I had some kind of guideline to follow. I only received a kit from Bariatric Advantage. Came with 13 bars and the powder..... How many shakes/servings a day should I have? Anyone else doing the same diet? Any suggestions!!? I get sleeved on Dec 17th!!

I just did my pre-op yesterday too! I hope I'm still cleared for surgery! Seemed like everything went ok... I also start my liquid diet on Monday. My surgery is two weeks later on Monday the 17th. How did your pre-op go? Is your surgeon going to notify you about the results?

Oh man, you have the best list ever! Like you just plucked it from my brain!!!! I'm 1 week from starting my pre op diet. Kinda nervous about it....nervous ill be grouchy and short tempered and low on energy.... I'm a teacher so I worry about the way it will effect things... However, my weight also drastically effects my teaching as well, so. Game on!! LOL.

Hi everyone!! I live in the far west valley (buckeye) getting sleeved on Dec 17th by Dr.juarez. So far my experience has been great! I'm so excited!!! I can't wait!! I'd love to hear from anyone else who is going through the Bridges Center!!!

I can't agree more! How is everyone's family reacting to the surgery? Are they supportive, concerned, pessimistic? I haven't told my family yet....my husband and close friends are supportive but many other family members are not aware of my surgery. I'm hoping to have dropped some weight by Christmas. I'm so excited to see the looks on their faces this time NEXT year! I hope to have lost 100lbs by then..... I know it will take a lot of hard work, but I'm so ready to change my life and start eating to live!!! Really curious about how everyone's friends and family are reacting to your surgery!!

I'm getting mine done in Phoenix AZ. I can TOTALly relate to needing restriction. I can seem to have any kind of self control and just keep gaining. I'm a whopping 380 now! 5'7". I believe my bmi is around 58. The liquid pre op diet can't come soon enough!

I'm getting sleeved December 17th as well!!! I'm VERY HEAVY. With a lot to lose. Hoping to be ready to work after Xmas break. What about u?
