  1. I am 4 months post op and have lost quite a bit... But I am so depressed and angry all the time, I don't even care about getting compliments or new clothes or anything!!! I am so frustrated to be feeling like this!!! I am just angry at the world and loosing hair (literally) and I just want to hide all day and not interact with anyone....I just want this to end...
  2. I still want to meet!! Just putting that out their!! Good luck this Thursday!!! You will have great care at at Luke's !!
  3. I'm in buckeye as well!! Almost 4 weeks out. Doing good!
  4. I wanted if we can have liquid nyQuill??? I'm 4 weeks out and can eat easily... I just got home this Friday from one of the most long, stressful, and scary times in my life... So far. :-) I just graduated with my teaching degree in December got my surgery during winter break and picked up a teaching job in January. Needless to say... I need a good sleep.
  5. Sounds great guys!!!! I know I am willing to meet up as soon (or late) as possible and convenient for everyone. It will be so nice to have people to talk to that understands what I'm going through. . I can't wait!!
  6. Okay. Maybe I can try and meet up with you closer to Phoenix. I work around 35th ave and camelback. Maybe we can figure something out. :-)
  7. I really like this idea! I will definitely try doing that!!! Thank you!
  8. Anyone interested in meeting up soon? Maybe at friendship park in Avondale?
  9. Thank you jewels, Alabamasleever and blue eyes! Your thoughtful feedback has really helped me feel and do better. I'm still struggling with the amount I'm eating( I can eat at least a cup of creamed soup at a sitting). So I plan on discussing the size of my pouch with my surgeon on my 2 week post-op appt. but the fact that I can confess and get sincere feedback from people that really understand what I'm going through helps a lot! I hope you are all doing well today. When are you guys planing on returning to work? What kind of work do u do?
  10. Okay... I gave a few things to confess. Maybe coming clean with some things will help me get back on track. I've been having a really difficult time with head hunger. It started with chewing and spitting out food. Christmas cookies, buttered bread . Then I started putting Hershey kisses in my mouth and letting them melt. WHY AM I STRUGGLING SO Much?! In the last few days I've had the hardest time controlling myself.... Sneaking bites of Mac and cheese or eating Pringles.... I don't understand what is wrong with me!! I don't blend or strain my creamed soups... I guess I expected to get sick and learn my lesson, but nothing I've eaten has mad me sick....yet. I thought I was strong! i thought I could do this!! I need preyers.... And therapy. I'm sorry. I feel like a failure. Please don't ignore this post. I need feedback. Even if its just to chew me out!
  11. Hi all you December 17 sleevers!!! Glad to hear you are all doing so well. I am doing pretty good. I need my pain meds on refilled but the doctors office has been closed..... But it's tolerable. I'm down about 11 lbs since surgery. Food wise some days are good & some days are not so good. Some days I get in plenty of liquids and everything seems okay.....other days I eat what would probably be considered "junk food" and don't have enough protein… Today is one of those days :-(
  12. So glad to see so many west side sleevers out there!!! I was sleeved on December 17th and trying to have a good recovery. I was very impressed with the hospital staff and the care I received. I would like to find a support group closer to home.... Maybe we can all get together and start one?
  13. Thanks girl. I'm trying to figure out how to do all this sipping waiting eating sipping and writing it all down! ...... Not so easy.
  14. Thank you all!!! I'm happy to be getting home.
  15. Happy to be going home. I feel so much better when I take my pain medicine and walk! Now I just have to work on tracking my food and not eating and drinking at the same time!
  16. Great job on you weight loss plussizebeauty!! I'm378 lbs as of yesterday. I'm glad you r on here as we are both in the 300's. recovery is going pretty good although idk if I would say I feel "great". I wonder if being higher BMI makes it a little more painful.... today is day 2 in the hospital, might be discharged which is cool. I think they're just waiting for me to fart. LOL How are you doing pain & food & exercise wise?
  17. Hi to all the December 17th sleevers!!! How are you all?? The hospital so far has been great and staff are very caring. I also threw up once and dry heaved until they took me off the morphine since it was making me nauseous . I'm taking liquid Vicodin and it works well. Dr. Juarez hasn't been into visit me yet, but hopefully I will see him later today. How's everyone else doing ?
