  2. I am going with him next month. I did a lot of research on here and online. Search him by name on google and these threads and you will find wonderful reviews. Good luck in your search
  3. I will be there the 3rd. I am leaving the 8th I am going alone. U? Send me a message with your pic, so I can recognize u Where are you flying in from? I am in Chicago
  4. I am at the Mi Hospital. R u staying at the Marriott?
  5. Who is your Dr? I am with Dr Garcia in TJ on the 4th
  6. Co morbities that the insurance considers such are severe sleep apnea, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. Most don't consider high cholesterol or joint pain morbities. They are very specific on what they consider these to be. Maybe that's why u were denied? Hope u get it resolved, it's so frustrating I know!!
  7. I have a lower BMI as well and my Dr is on board and doing all my pre op and post op testing. I have health ins but it won't cover the sleeve. Good luck to you
  8. Have an appt with my PCP next week to get any extra pre op testing done before my trip to Mexico. I know they do blood work and EKG there, but since my Dr knows my health history, he will know if I need anything further to get me prepared! Relieved that he will handle my post op appts as well
  9. I forgot to mention that you will probably speak with Alma. She is fantastic and so quick to reply to emails.
  10. My deposit with them is $500. I think that is pretty much the standard
  11. I will be there alone let's definitely keep tabs on each other! U can message me as well to chat. I am coming from Chicago. U?
  12. Umm, Hello! I am also on the 4th with Garcia!! YAY!!!!
  13. I agree, what possibly could u defend on drinking soda? Lol there is no benefit that I am aware of. Too much acidity for our small stomach (or anyone's) and full of sugar and or artificial sweetener. Avoid if possible Now, with that said, I will have to have a sip of diet coke every once in a while! Hee hee
  14. I want to be in my own private hotel for recovery and have nice amenities, not in a noisy recovery house with other people. That's my personal preference though every one is different
  15. It's a hard decision Amy! My advice is to search Dr Garcia on this forum and google. Read the reviews, as I did. You will not find a negative comment (or at least I haven't). For me, between the reviews and the cost and the raving reviews on the hospital he uses, I am confident with my choice. I know there are a few really reputable Dr's mentioned on this board, so you will be in good hands either way!! Good luck
  16. How was your experience Angel? Hope all is well and good luck on your journey!!
  17. I bought this online. It is a shaker with a storage cap for powder and also has a ice pack thingy to keep your shakes cold as u drink. It was like 6 bucks! http://www.bjsbariatrics.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=bjb&Product_Code=ffChillShak12oz&Category_Code= Hope this helps
  18. So glad everything went well for you both! good luck on your journey!!

  20. Thanks everyone! I hope I didn't offend anyone by insinuating that u aren't real, lol I am sure u know what I meant though, u r a fantastic group of supporters
