Do I really need to go to the ER...?

Thank you everyone. Yes, I went to the ER. I was concerned at first when the ER Dr didn't even now what the sleeve is! But, they ran labs, Xrays, and got me hooked up to an IV. My oxygen levels were at 89 and the monitors kept going off. We left around 4:00 this morning. I slept most of the day thanks to the pain meds. I am feeling much better. Still a little weak, but no more heart palpatations or dizziness. I'm just trying to get more fluids in today and sleep as much as I can. I will follow up with my PCP tomorrow or the next day to make sure the wound infection is responding well to the meds. Thanks again, sorry I didn't post earlier. I just couldn't stay awake today!
  6. Wow!! You look amazing! What an accomplishment in only 2 months. Congrats!

    DFW sleevers

I'll ask my friend. I'm pretty sure it's held at a church (though it isn't sponsored by the church). I'll let you know!

    Hcg

I did the HCG diet and lost 100 lbs. I felt great, had more energy and had to remember to eat. But, I got pregnant in the middle of the VLCD round and that was it. I was starving and pretty much ate whatever I wanted. I gained the 100lbs back plus another 30! My son will be 2 this month and I needed somthing that would be permanent. So, instead of going back to the HCG, I chose the sleeve. For me, I think it will work better in the long run. I don't plan to do the HCG post sleeve either. If you do, good luck, I hope it works!!
  9. Great post, thanks for sharing. I'm trying to get everything ready for the puree stage.

    Maybe answer to stalls

I usually stall or gain a few days before my TOM. Then a few days in and I drop 3 - 4 lbs.

Pasta lovers? Low carb lasagna roll-ups

Most stores carry Dreamfields. You can go online to their website and print a $1.00 coupon. They have speghetti, angel hair, elbow, ziti, lasagna, and a few other types. Also online are some great recipe ideas.

    Got date, now nesting

I went through that phase also. Cleaned the house from top to bottom, pre made a bunch of foods and froze them for the kiddos. Cleaned out all my closets and drawers and cabinets. It was FANTASTIC coming home to a completely clean house! I felt we'll enough to keep up on the dishes, laundry and even started making some new meals. Any chore that requires bending over is what I avoid. Other than that, I haven't had any problems. Today I am a week post op and it doesn't even really bother me to bend over. Good luck!!!

    Breastfeeding mommas!?

Hi, I am now 6 days post op and am a nursing Mom. I can imagine the mixed emotions you have regarding the surgery / nursing! I spoke with my PCP and my surgeon and both were ok with me nursing and continuing to do so post surgery. Between my pre-op diet and surgery, I am down 32 lbs and I feel fantastic! I did a lot of research to make sure that continuing to breastfeed would be safe for my son and myself. This is a personal decision, that only you and your Dr can make. Good luck, however you decide! Keep me posted.
  22. Good luck!! Let us know how it goes.
  23. Congrats on the sleeve!! My vitals were always normal. Make sure you walk as much as possible, it really helps move the gas. I would take a nap, get up and walk, read, take a nap, and back to walking... Good luck!!

    January 2013 Sleevers?

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to wish my fellow January sleevers good luck!! I am 5 days post op and I'm feeling terrific! Since I got home I have felt well enough to cook, clean, do laundry, grocery shop, etc. I'm so thankful to be sleeved. I'm down 32lbs since I started my pre-op diet. I hope everyone who has been sleeved is also feeling great. Good luck to those of you getting sleeved soon. You won't regret it!
