I am telling you girl I cried like a little baby. They hurt me so bad. I ended up having to stay in the hospital for two extra days cause I could cough or the shortness of breathe but remember this is only my experience. I had the worst time passing gas. good luck.

    Almost 6 Weeks Post Op

What is your routine like? How have you changed your way of living? My friends are naive and think the weight instantly falls off. They just don't understand. How have your friends and family reacted to your weightloss?

    Dreaming About Surgery

I was just sleeved 5 days ago. I had dreams and hesitation all the way up until the took me into the operating room. Once I was in there I remembered everything everyone all said to me and I just closed my eyes and it was over. I woke up and I was sleeved. I will say if anyone could have told me. The pain from the gas bubbles is not the business. Just be very very prepared for that.

Thanks for sharing! I have prepared my own apple sauce for when that time comes. I am so looking forward to a new me!
  14. Telling people and not telling is kinda a double edge sword! You wanted to share in your excitement that your finally getting that extra help that you meed to reach your goal. Then there the other side where you don't want to share because you don't want to hear other peoples feedback. I almost backed out of the surgery because I got scared. My friends were telling to work harder. I barley eat to begin with. I work out 6 days a week doing various activities. I have lost 7 lbs in the last two weeks. My parents are not supportive whatsoever. They think I am being dramatic. I always have to take it to the next level. I think to myself you don't know what its like to live in my body. Then I have the coworkers that say stuff "omg its going to be weird to see you skinny" you really find out who your friends are when you go through life changing events like this. 5 years ago I had a breast reduction and I had one friend tell me " I don't know why your doing this your just going to be another fat girl with small boobs" needless to say she has been erased from my life. Last I heard she is bitter and over weight with small boobs! ????Karma will get ya. I told my x husband and he is very worried. He thinks its his fault that I want this surgery. -wake up honey this is not about you! This is about bringing the new healthier me! Sorry your missing out. My true friends are very supportive they have wished me nothing but a speedy recovery and just want to know if they can have my clothes after. ???????? This is our time to shine! Let your haters be your motivators!

Those Who Have Gotten In Shape And Have Ran 5Ks

I will say that feeling of finishing your first 5k or 10k is the most amazing accomplishment. I am 279 now but I ran my first half marathon back in 2010 and it was the longest day of my life it felt like. If you are a person that doesn't excercise often I would simply start with a walk around the block. Once your body is use to that, find a hill by your house and add that in to your routine. There is a few website out there that will have play lists that talk to you. Run for 1minute walk for 30 seconds. Let me know if you want to know more. I can send you the links. Best of luck with getting out there.
  17. Is there anyone out there in San Diego that maybe interested in starting a walking group after their surgery?

  21. Ladies and gents! Please tell me I am crazy if I back out of this. I need to know there is someone out there understands this. I have struggled with my weight for 10 years. I work out like crazy mad women. I eat right but I don't shed the weight. I even got divorced over my weight partially.
  22. I am schedule for october 30. Today is my pre-op appointments. I find my self second guessing going in for this surgery. I am nervous and scared .
