Green, Very well spoken! How can you be so clear-headed and half starving at the same time? LOL! Ok, maybe you're not half-starving. Maybe I have lyme disease or something. I hate Bush, and I don't like McCain either, but I might would be persuaded to vote for Rudy Julliani, anyway last time I voted for Kerry. It was like well, shall I vote for the skull or the bones? last election. I could have done without the war bit, but now we're in such international deep SH** that we're going to have to be heavily militarized, and also make vast investments in other countries just to get through it. I live in the NW, and so many people are like, "OMG You can't be mad at someone for being here illegally, they're just economic and political refugees from (fill in the blank country)" My new neighbor is very cool, but his live-in boyfriend is a total self-centered jerk. He's middle aged and doesn't even know he's childish and self-centered becaue he is so caught up with himself. I totally sympathize with people who have terrible neighbors. lol! My cat ditched me. I loved the bejesus out of him. And one day my roommate opened the door while I wasn't home and he split. He started life as an outside cat, and then was an indoor cat and he hated it even though he had a buddy. Maybe I wasn't subservient enough? Evilah

I can't pick a side anymore! I used to think I was liberal, but now that I'm an adult with responsibilities and a child, my views have changed drastically. I am pro-environment to the nth degree. It's a crime to pollute. (I do as much as I possibly can to be "green" and still I feel guilty at night, I will strive to be green for the rest of my life) I am anti-corporate corruption, pro-small business, anti-big business anti-socialized healthcare, anti-immigration (by that I mean we should eliminate illegal immigration and reduce legal immigration or better monitor it), anti-multi-culturalism (I believe too many cultures and languages in one place creates chaos and conflict because there are too many boundaries for people to overcome when socializing and working together), pro-gay partner rights but anti-gay marriage, I think abortions are wrong but only doctors and their patients can make the decision about the life of an unborn before it's old enough to survive outside the womb, employers should pay working wages, guns don't kill people-people do, this country lacks communities. I am pro-mass transit, anti-oil (mostly because burning gas and oil make me sick, literally), pro-wind power, pro-hydro, blah blah blah. Anyway, I also believe it's my responsbility to vote, and sometimse I have the hardest time of it. Then I end up choosing the candidate that is most trustworthy because a politician can change their mind but not how well it works. (i.e. a smart, honest, trustworthy, reasonable representative who I disagree with is preferable to a weak, dumb, shady, dishonest, unreasonable politician I agree with) Evilah PS. Let 'er rip!

I think everyone (here) in the USA is obsessed with shock TV. It's thoughtless it gives an emotional rollercoaster ride, and fills their otherwise empty lonely lives with the drama they're so desperate for. There's lots of sex on TV here, but what you do watch wouldn't be half as shocking if it were everywhere. I think the regulations on television have more to do with preserving shock value than adhering to religious or moral standards. Evilah

oh yeah. later I found out from other neighbors and mgmt. that all but guy on lease were illegal and he only had a work visa and that they were getting some kind of state assistance to live there. and oh yeah. we were forced to move while I was 8 months pregnant. bastards. also I think that they all would hide when the cops would go up their and tell them to keep it down in the middle of the night, because the officers would say that he only saw the one guy and his kid and girlfriend. And they threatened to sue the mgmt. for discrimnation and hired some sort of minority lawyer to represent them. so mgmt. quit trying to kick them out and just told us to leave if we couldn't handle it and let us out of our lease, but then it took us so long to find a new place that the lease was up by the time we left anyway.

omg, i skipped down to write a message before reading the whole thread. I lived in this really great apartment for about a month. And then new people moved in upstairs. They made so much noise, vacuuming contantly stomping even building furniture, bad snoring at night. I didn't even know it was snoring, it sounded like a doom video game. Anyway, I complained and knocked on the celing and the lady uupstairs was such a B****. She would make more noise if I knocked on her door (she wouldn't answer) or the ceilng. Anyway I complained so much to the management they got an eviction notice and they wouldn't leave. They had like 10 people living there on and off and they claimed I was prejudice and wanted them to get evicted because they're mexican. I was like WTF? You guys aren't supposed to have 10 people livng there because your lease allows maximum 4 people to be living there. Anyway, I tried so hard to be nice to them even though they made so much noise and the woman was so mean and either didn't speak english or refused to speak english to me. anyway.... I used to have to take naps in my car while I was pregnant because it was so noisy up there even with earplugs you couldn't get any rest. I measured the noise at a construction site and the dB in my apartment was louder than at a construction site. Plus they ysed to throw all their burnt styrofoam barbecue plates on my patio. jerks

I am not a sweet eater, I only crave sweets if I've had an especially large or salty or carbed-out meal. Other than that, give me some fat and Protein please. I love nuts! Big nut eater. I am. I admit it. lol Evilah

yeah, i only take 1 a day claritin when things are bad. i have never thought about internal inflammation. I do have asthma and occasionally have a coughing fit. I can't wait to see how the new band works out for you! Do you know where a picture of it is? Will it have the low profile port?

oh, and prenatal vitamins > i use thorne brand.

I think now that it's been properly adjusted that it's working out pretty well. Last night was night #4 that I used it! I'm so excited, I can't wait to have more energy and be less anxious! Evilah PS my husband hasn't made any jokes about me, but I think he feels sorry for me, so maybe I wish he would joke about it.

I think they're worried about hard little pieces (the kind that can be missed by the blender blade, and then be lumps or Protein or gelatinous bits that your stomach has to digest) still in the Soup after blending, that's why they want straining. What do you think? Evilah

Alexandra, I have been having chest pain since december. Last fall I had a scope done to look at my esophageal sphincter and it was normal (I had pain in chest when swallowing). Now I only get that "full" feeling if I am super full. Other than that, I always feel hungry, so I can't use that as a sign as when to eat or not eat. Sometimes I think my pregnancy damaged a nerve and made me not able to feel certain things, but I don't know Evilah

I found out after my endoscopy today (which I was awake for) that I have esophagitis, gastritis, and a hiatal hernia. Anyone else have an endoscopy? Anyone else have similar issues pre-banding? I don't know if I will be able to be banded now. Feeling lost, and confused, Evilah

I live near two surgery centers where lap band is done. One is a center of excellence for bariatric surgery, and the other does exclusively lap band, is newer, but closer to home. HELP! What factors are most important to my decision? Proximity to home for fills, support, and nutrition?
