  1. Wow!! Thanks for all the responses!! And so glad I am not alone! He is frustrated and doing everything in the book right to get me into being intimate again. He is a big teddy bear. Feel bad, but maybe it does have something do to with the surgery. Thanks I will keep on searching for an answer
  2. 2.5 months out lost 35 lbs from 253lbs day of surgery. Just not interested in Sex and not even horny!! I know TMI!! But just wondering if anyone else feels the same way! My husband is very frustrated, however I am ok with it. Has anyone else's libido dropped too?
  3. I just stick to two protein shakes and a protein bar for the day. When i do get hungry i eat chicken in whatever way i cook it. Premier protein shake and bar. I can't eat much of anything. And I drink crystal light or apple juice (no added sugar even though it has sugar) if i am thirsty or water if I work out.
  4. Thx:)! I did hit a plateau at 2-3 weeks and I found I was consuming way too much either food or water or carbs. So I kept it 500 cal or less and drink when thirsty. Then i started dropping again. Too much drinking made me retain, keeping it les than 50 carbs a day. And that seem to be the trick. Good luck!

  6. I had the same but i was allergic to the sutures, so he removed them and I was back to healing instantly.
  7. My husband mad me a sort of like pizza, he used a wrap called wheat flatout wrap, it's low carbs, added some pasta meat sauce and triple chedddar cheese mix on top and placed it it the oven. Delicious almost like a regular pizza, but I got only have a bite or two and was stuffed. But it was satisfying. Good luck:)

    Protein Shakes Help Please

    Hi everyone! 4 weeks post op. 20lbs down. I too had a problem with Protein. I hate the powder and anything strawberry flavor kills it. But I found these awesome shakes(thanks to another blogger) I buy mine at Sams club, shakes are chocolate flavor, the best flavor to me, and called premium protein. They are like $20 a box of 12 and have 30g of protein 1g carb and I think 160 calories. I also found a wafer Peanut Butter flavor (they have other flavors) bar from power crunch particularly low in carbs 5g and 13g in protein, those bars I found at Walmart or Publix. I am allowed to pretty much eat anything, which is good for my food addiction, however my stomach tolerates a bite or two. So I mainly stick to two or three shakes a day and a bar along with my fluids. So far I am happy with this. I am no longer restricted to food so the temptation is not there( tempation is well only there sometimes.). If I do eat I find I get comfort and satisfaction from anything that's a protein. carbs are way to uncomfortable for me even if it's a vegetable. Good luck and I hope this helps:)

    My thoughts exactly. What a good topic. DOS 10/18/12 251lbs as of today I am 236lbs. Three weeks today. Good luck, I too am dreaming of wonderland. Keeping up with protein, drinking, and exercise. Trying not to go over 500 calories.

  11. October 18! 13lbs down, lost many many inches! But stalled:( stalled now for a 6 days. Walking drinking but did cheat a bit. Can have regular textured chicken fish and soft canned fruits. About 60 protein is my Max. Halloween candy did a number on me:(

    I Hurt!

    I used a binder, however the pain didn't go away until my stitches were pulled. I was allergic to them. I developed some redness and two raised areas. I had them removed 11 days postoperative. And I am now 2 weeks out.
