So, this was a major concern for me as I already have semi fine hair. The key is to take all of your Vitamins and minerals in. They say that some light Hair loss is normal since your body has gone through this sort of shock but it will improve with diet and nutrition. Good luck!

Well, today was my 5 month checkup. Down 106 lbs. Not exercising - I know I know. Not taking Multivitamin - I know I know they are nasty. Asked to change from Prilosec capsule to something I can swallow. They said to try Prevacid otc. Asked if I'm drinking all my water....some times. Then the rest of my appointment was spent with them asking me questions about my daughter who is trying to have the surgery before January. Ok, I'm willing to help, but today was my day d***it. Yes, I had a horrible day at work. Didn't want to stay at work and didn't want to just come home and sit either but here I am. All started with some sorry bored person starting drama at work. People need to get a life. Quit starting problems between offices or quit and move on. So, this is my vent. Came home, ate about 7 little shrimps, and about 4 tsp of spinach from a can. As usual , I ate it too fast and now I'm miserable. I just can't eat slow. Not getting all my Water in. Is this a phase of the sleeve that will pass or is it just me and my moods? Any advise appreciated.

I was weighed at an ER visit and that 's how I found out I've lost 23 lbs since surgery. I don't have a scale at home because I'll check it every day. I agree that the way you feel should be the focus. I feel lighter, lol.... My clothing are looser and before I saw the number I knew I had lost. It sounds like you're doing everything right. Okay, so maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but I was sleeved one week ago tomorrow. Apart from losing the four pounds I gained in the hospital, I have lost......wait for it........1POUND! Am I doing this wrong? I'm working hard on my Protein and staying hydrated. I'm walking 15 to 20 minutes a day. Help! I lost 50 pre op. but only one pound post.

Hello my name is Sarah. I turned 30 about a month ago and I was hoping to have my surgery the same day. My thought behind that: turning 30 scared the hell out of me and I thought giving myself the gift of health was perfect. Things didn't go as planned because you know, insurance. I have 2 little boys, 8 & 5, that mean the world to me and the reason for my surgery. I want to set a good example for them and be around to meet my grandchildren. I was scheduled for gastric bypass but was really wanting the sleeve. My insurance changed their guidelines on 9/24 and I was approved for the sleeve. Surgery was yesterday, 10/01/12. I am laying in the hospital bed extremely sore and tired. Yet all I can think of is being able to run and play with my kids. I can only imagine how great I'll feel when I drop this extra 100.
