    Aceves Or G. Alvarez

You won't regret your desicion! I was sleeved by Dr. Aceves last week Monday (revision band to sleeve) and I think he's the best - he really, really cares about his patients, as does the whole team. No pain whatsoever, way easier recovery than with the band/removal. For me .... He's worth every penny!

    Liked Mexicali!

LOL just came back from the pharmacy with a few more boxes of Pantazol and the Supradol as well (they worked wonders with my headache when I arrived) I had not any pain meds since I came off the IV and feel pretty good :-)

    Aceves Or G. Alvarez

I had the same problem :-) I am a revision patient (had a lapband and now get the sleeve) and after going back and forth between the two, I just went with my guts and feel very comfortable with my desicion. I really do agree with the ladies that either doc will be a great choice. I will be sleeved Nov. 12 by Dr. Aceves

    Passport Question

Denise, I had my passport done when I was -80 lbs and now all the way back up -feeling and looking like a baby seal- I travelled to Canada and the Immigration Officer went back and for between looking at me and the passport, so I asked him if he needs additional photo ID but he said "mhhh, no it's fine" LOL
  8. I know ... pretty frustrating and dissapointing to start all over, but at least we're heading in the right direction again and this time with a much better tool

    Dr Ortiz-December 6Th

Hi there :-) ... just curious, is it Dr. Ariel Ortiz?
  10. We had planned an early arrival too, but now we won't make it before Sunday - Wishing you two tons of fun :-) See you soon!
  11. Hi :-) and yessssss, I'm still on for Nov. 12th for my revision. My hubby and I arrive in SAN on Nov 11th @ 10:04 am. So I guess we WILL meet When do you come in?
  12. I sure will ... BTW ... I think both Dr. Aceves and Dr. Alvarez are really great doctors and you can't go wrong with either of them. I simply choose Dr Aceves, because I liked the 3 night stay in the hospital better and the sx date that came available worked great with my schedule ...
  13. Not sure what the statistics are, but I know quite a few that had/have problems with their band two or three years in, after initially doing great with it. I was successful with my band for about 2 years, but it came with many restrictions in foods I could tolerate without getting stuck. One day my band acted up and closed shut for no reason and I've had problems ever since. Having the band unflled over a year ago did not help much, most days I still had problems getting liquids down - but at the same time managed to pick up weight again - thanks to slider foods
