Happy 42nd Birthday needhelp!

I have type 1 diabetes, have gained 90 pounds in the past 5 years and had my appointments today in Boston - I am scheduling for the surgery on 9/9/08 and will have my date soon! I would LOVE to hear how things go for you and to see if you have any suggestions on what really worked well or didn't work as you go through the surgery and recovery. I am most concerned with treating lows and/or getting too high...
