  1. I know! How frustrating! Although honestly the FitBit One looks alright too, easier to hide on your body, then having to wear a bracelet all the time. But I think I'll wait until the Flex comes out anyway..

    Post op march sleevers

I bought the sampler pack based on a recommendation from here, and for me, they are HORRIBLE! I took a pack of the green apple ecstasy and mixed with Water. To start with, it might as well have been unflavored, apple my foot. I put some sweetener in it and it didn't help. It's been in my fridge a couple of days now and I am trying to screw up the courage to try it again. In all fairness, I haven't been able to get ANY protein down until today (sleeved Mar 5). The other thing I found misleading was the description. Each pack has stamped in large numbers "23 Grams of Protein!" Well, guess what. That's for the whole pack, and each pack has 4 servings. The packs are small, I would only have guess they were one serving each instead. So if you mix it as directions say, you are only getting SEVEN grams per shake. And I would rather drink ONE shake of Isopure or Pure protein Ready To Drink and get 35-40 grams thank to use these. IMHO

    Post op march sleevers

That is almost EXACTLY my situation! I count from my first day of Pre-op, Feb 19th. I was sleeved on 3/5 and am down a total of 21 pounds. LOL!

I've lost 21 pounds so far and I count that weight loss from the first day of the preop diet, Feb 19th. Surgery date March 5th.

    Any March Sleevers?

I solved the problem perfectly myself. Every year, each sibling (five of us) go to my mother's house. We decide what we want for out birthday meal and she makes it and the whole family celebrates. My choice is always roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas and German Chocolate or Angel cake for dessert. Yum. But my birthday is April 12th and I was sleeved on March 5th. What to do? We solved it by having my birthday celebration before the surgery date. It was beautiful. Presents, cake and the most succulent, rare roast beef I've ever had. Win Win. And I will be on solid foods when my real birthday arrives. I will probably celebrate with a bite of mashed potatoes, soup and a protein drink. LOL

    March sleevers challenge

I drank 64 oz of water before I was even up for four hours, got almost half that again already. Water is not my problem. I absolutely can't get my protein in. I have several cases of Pure Protein Ready To Drink shakes that I now cannot stand to drink, no matter how I mix it up. Two spoonfuls of thinned creamy chicken soup (no chicken) and I have to stop. I'm not getting more than a couple of hundred calories a day and am just a little worried. I have tried everything from SF puddings, SF Jello and everything else allowed for the first week post op (sleeved March 5th) Tomorrow I start puréed foods. I dunno, maybe that will be better? First thing I'm gonna try is some refried beans. I sit home alone, healing. My day consists of trying to get a good night's sleep (still not easy), and I watch TV all day and walk my dogs three times a day for 15 minutes each. My husband is away skiing until Saturday. I mean, I'm just not hungry, it doesn't feel like I've basically only had water all day. But when I leave the house tomorrow (I have to do some shopping), I still think my head hunger is going to take over.

Pocket Scales for Eating on the Go

i ordered the one NurseGrace linked to. I also bought a 500g calibration weight which almost costs as much as the scale itself. It was sold separately.

    March Sleevers Where are You

I am in the hospital right now, been post op for for close to 20 hours now. A little sore but not too bad. However, going almost 30 hours without water is KILLING ME! I'm going down for my swallow test hopefully within an hour. After it's done, then and only then will I be able to drink. This is torture, the thirst is worse than any pain right now.
