  1. I started out with a low bmi so I did not have that much to drop. I'm 5'8 so 166 is perfect for me. I just haven't been able to maintain it. My entire pregnancy with the boys I only gained 35 lbs and they were twins. End of the day, I'm glad I did both and hoping the next revision is approved! I work out 5 days a week and eat fairly well! Good luck! Please let me know if u have anymore questions.

  2. Let's see, starting weight 240, sleeve on 12/26/12. I'd say I dropped to 183. Revision to bypass 8/14/14 starting weight around 183. No reflux after revision. So here is the doozy, I got pregnant and had twins oct 2015. As of July 2016 I was 166. However, as of today I am back to 183 (my body is obviously comfortable here), even though I am not! I noticed weight gain from July until December (166-181). I had an upper GI done and my stoma is stretched. My pouch is fine, not stretched at all. So my stoma is rounded now which allows good to pass through too fast, so much so that I'm allllllways hungry. So now I am in the insurance stage for approval for a revision. At which time if approved my doc wouldn't either redo my bypass or staple the stoma so it doesn't gather food and push it through quickly.

Revision was easier than sleeve, mainly bc I knew what to expect and the pain meds I had the first time didn't help so I knew what they needed to give me from the start of recovery. My sleeve I was supposed to do one night but bc of pain I did two. My revision was two nights bc it was a revision and they needed to see how my body would react. My second revision would be one night stay. The issue I am having now with my stoma is rare, don't let it scare u. Oh and days off of work, sleeve I did two weeks but it was over xmas vaca so I had the time and just took it. Revision I think 4-5 days and mainly bc of being tired not bc of pain. Please ask me anything else!!!

  3. I was sleeved in 12/2012 and converted to bypass on 8/14. I went from 240-lowest 166. In July I was 166 using phentermine but have since gained 17 lbs since July. Had an upper GI don't and the area btwn small bowel and stomach has stretched. I go back in 1/25 to discuss options bc of cravings and weight gain. I feel like a failure. Who has 2 weight lose surgeries and can't maintain. I do eat fairly well and work out 5 days a week. I also had twins in oct 2015 so I'm always busy!! Any questions, comments or concerns welcome! Be nice please!

  5. Sorry for the TMI.

I am 5 weeks post surgery. No issues getting in Water, Protein or Vitamins. I go to the bathroom once a day.

I'd say at least 4-5x I have noticed blood on my stool. Years ago I had that happen and after colonoscopy they determined internal hemroids, suggested I change my diet. Well as of now I am eating the best I have ever eaten in my life. Should I be concerned? Any similar experiences?

    Thanks

  6. Thanks cupcake you are very helpful! I see my doc tues and my nut in a few weeks. My but and I have been communicating. Ya know if have to say I'm well under 1000 calories, but I've been focusing on my Water and Protein perhaps I should up the calories slightly. Maybe that is the source. I've been getting to the gym once or twice a week pitiful, I do walk everyday for 30 minutes, but I know that's not enough. I'll log my calories tmrw as I do with my Protein and Water. Thanks so much!

I can truthfully say I have not had fast food , chocolate, chips dips or anything bad at all. Is my body just in shock that it's holding into everything?

  7. So scared!!! I'm having no issues getting in my Water (minimum 64oz), all my Vitamins and at least 60 grams of Protein. I still get hungry but I've been staying on track. If I'm still hungry after I eat I wait the 30 minutes and drink. I graduate to regular food on Monday but I'm afraid my restriction and appetite is not what I thought it would be. I tried the turkey meatloaf in the cupcake tin and was about to eat 1 and a half and I can slowly eat 2 eggs. I feel like I'm running out of things to eat and I'm going to eat something I shouldn't. Also the last 2 days I am absolutely exhausted!

Oh I bought the premium protein you suggested. So usually before lunch I have the 30 grams from that and 2 eggs at 14 roughly. 45 grams by 11:30, I thought would help. I feel like I am doing this right but I'm still scared.

    Any words of advice?

  8. You can expect to have minimal to painful pain (all hopefully stabilized by meds) you will have gas pain. Just walk as much as you can. Day by day I promise you will feel better! If you feel like throwing up and the meds to reduce that are not working, perhaps your pain meds are making you feel sick. That's what happened to me. I'm here if you have more questions. I am a sleeve To bypass patients, so I've had them both! Good luck!

Oh, two weeks post op, down 13lbs
