  1. http://nutritionstripped.com/cauliflower-pizza-crust/ Google is a nifty little thing.
  2. Im 6 months out and went from a tight 8.5 to a comfy 8. Ive always been an 8 so I dont think my feet will shrink any more than that.
  3. I find it fascinating how everyone's tastes are different. I cant stand the Isopure drinks, I thought they were horrid. I do love the flavorless protein powder from Unjury. I also love Unjury chicken broth, it has 21 grams of protein per serving.
  4. I started losing about that much every day at the 3 month mark. Im now at 6 months and Ive stopped losing except for the normal hair loss that everyone has but it hasnt started growing back yet. Luckily I too had a lot of hair so I was the only one that noticed except my hubby that had to clean it from the drain. I of course take my biotin, I also take this http://www.sephora.com/phytophanere-hair-nails-dietary-supplement-P2884?skuId=1438068 from Sephora. I dont know if it helped but in my mind it made me feel better.
  5. My marriage is even stronger now. We had a tight marriage before but instead of my hubby worrying about my health now, we get to concentrate on being more active, celebrating the nsv's, he loves when I put on fashion shows for him with my new clothes and he especially loves all the extra 'bedroom attention' if you get my drift. My hubby had lost 70+ pounds on his own about 8 years ago and has kept it off so he can empathize with my joys of losing the weight and is so happy for me. We are like newlyweds again
  6. You are ADORABLE!! Keep up the great work. Cant wait to see more progress pics from you in a couple months
  7. I love how people who have never had a weight problem in their entire life have something to say about people that have WLS. Walk in my shoes b*tch! I think they should be made to wear a suit double their weight and go about every day life and see whats it like and what its like to have others look down on you because of your weight. So lets see, there are haters that look down on the obese and the same haters look down on people that have WLS. No pleasing the haters so screw them.
  8. I am already past 60% of my excess and on my way to 80%. Its work, not a magic pill. But this is the only tool that Ive ever been able to use to help me achieve my ultimate goals. I feel proud that Ive had to sweat, grunt, learn how to eat right again and be successful and have the willpower to not eat crap food all day because if I did and didnt do all those other things (the grunting and sweating), I wouldnt be rid of all of my obesity related ailments and feeling fabulous. I bow to the sleeve
  9. Ive been taking it since the beginning and Im 6 months out. I honestly couldnt tell you if it helped my hair loss or not. I lost A LOT of hair but thankfully I had lots of hair. Just when it started to get so thin that I was panicking about it, its subsided. Now for the dreaded re-growth. It certainly wont hurt to take it since it does improve other things like nails and skin but I couldnt tell you if it helped. Target has it cheap, something like $5 a bottle for 500mg capsules.
  10. In response to your post Farah3k, the only people that notice that I dont overeat like everyone else are the people that know I had the sleeve. No one even notices that I eat only 2 - 4 ounces because most of the time they are so worried about everyone else watching them overeat.
  11. This was perfect timing for me because Im supposed to see my husbands family in a month (Ill be 75 pounds lighter than when they last saw me) so I know Ill be getting 20 questions if not more and Ive been struggling with 'do i tell the truth or dont i'. But the people that will be looking down their nose at me and judging me are also very heavy and miserable. So thank you for your perspective because Ive decided to hold my head up high, looking fierce and tell them the truth. Then when they say "oh well Ive been doing weight watchers" I can say "yeah? and hows that workin' for ya?" Thank you gmanbat
  12. I have a tall (a small) cafe americano from Starbucks a few times a week. I actually never finish it, its just too much for my little tummy and I get my caffeine buzz much quicker than I did prior to surgery. When I dont have my cafe americano I make a nutriblast of spinich, berries, banana, gogi berry, flax, etc and that gives me TONS of energy, more than coffee actually.
  13. Look at how adorable you are! Im in the 'I love clothes' stage now too so I can feel your joy!
  14. Thanks laners There are so many great decaf flavors out there too, you can make iced tea with it too if you prefer something cold sometimes. Ill add a teaspoon of organic honey if I need to sweeten it up. Good luck with everything. 3 weeks will go so fast and youll be on the losers bench in no time. Just remember, if you can tolerate cold liquids right after surgery, try warm, it did the trick for me.
  15. Warm liquids were a blessing for me as I couldnt tolerate cold liquids after surgery for a good month. I drink decaf green tea or Sleeptime tea practically all day. Id say I drink decaf tea 90% of the time.
  16. I love sushi too and can tolerate it no problem but I can only eat 3 pieces and Im STUFFED. Normally my bill at my favorite sushi place is only $1.25 because during the week they have specials and luckily the plate only has 3 pieces. Im a cheap date for sure This is the only food that I wish I could fit more of in my teeny tiny tummy but my weight loss, the new clothes, the energy and the health completely outweigh my wish to overeat sushi.
  17. Im also in the hair loss period of time. I started losing it around 3 months and now Im 6 months and its seemed to be slowing down but I dont have any regrowth yet. Luckily I had tons of hair before I started losing it so yes its thin to me, Ive seen people that have much thinner hair without having lost weight. Like the OP said, Id much rather have the healthy benefits of the weight loss then a lush full head of hair. Besides, people are looking at how cute I look in all my new clothes rather then the top of my head. Itll come back eventually and itll give me a great excuse to get another short bob cut that I love so much!!
  18. I know it sounds like witchcraft but when I stall, I up my calories by a good amount and bam, pounds drop. Apparently chocolate cures stalls Not really but its nice to dream.
  19. I was talking with my hubby this weekend and we started listing all of the NSV's Ive experienced so far and the list was so long that I thought Id share with everyone and hopefully encourage some...here goes. 1. sleep apnea - GONE 2. Planters faciitis - GONE 3. Night sweats - GONE 4. Can tie my shoes without cutting of my air supply 5. Allergies to makeup - GONE 6. Can paint my own toes now 7. No more excessive sweating just to get ready in the morning 8. Can go shopping for hours without my feet and back killing me 9. Have TONS of energy 10. I get up early now, even on the weekends! 11. No more seatbelt extender on airplanes 12. After the 3 months of hairloss, its finally subsiding (Im at 6 months now) 13. Eczema - GONE 14. Swollen ankles - GONE 15. Need to get my rings resized 16. Can finally shop in non-plus sized clothes and even wear some meduims!!! 17. Had to buy smaller panties (shhhh) 18. Can wear high heels again 19. Look forward to naughty time with the hubby!!! 20. Today alone Ive been called 'skinny mini' 3 times so far. I am FAR from skinny but its still nice to hear. Im sure there are more but 20 is a pretty good number so far. I love my teeny tiny tummy! Have a great day
  20. My BCBS PPO (Federal Basic) required a 3 month medically supervised diet which consisted of me seeing a nutritionist and doctor once a month for 3 months, a psy evaluation, sleep apnea testing but I already had it, I had to get my heart checked too. I think that was it. The time went very fast.
  21. You always make me smile big. I was dancin' my littler butt off for sure. I could barely contain my giggle when I had to ask the saleslady for a medium. I dont care if people looked at me funny for dancing, they used to stare at me for being fat lol. Thanks for the sweet compliments.
  22. I also did some shopping this weekend and bought larges as well. I actually was able to fit into a couple of mediums but only because the brand ran big but I dont care, I did a dance right there in front of everyone lol. Congrats! I know what an awesome feeling it is.
  23. I was in for 2 days and had the single incision spider technique done. The only reason they kept me the extra day is because I couldnt get my fluids down but my surgeon quickly realized that I was having trouble because I was trying to sip cold beverages and it was causing spasms in my new tummy so I went to warm and bam, I was able to sip sip sip and they released me.
  24. Ha, I juiced an apple for breakfast Great minds. It helps keep thing 'moving' if ya know what I mean.
  25. I have a 15 hour tattoo on my back from bra line to butt crack and it hasnt distorted after 70+ pounds lost. The only difference is that it is almost on my sides now which is fine by me. Im ready for more though. Im going with one of each front of the shoulders and a portrait in a frame on the tops of each thigh. Im about 30 pounds from goal and Ill probably just get them because if my back piece didnt distort, I doubt the new ones will with a 30 pound loss ya know.
