Like others have said, try upping the calories. Ive run into the same issue and when I did I would up my calories (adding a handful of nuts here and there (good fats) or eating more protein). It worked every time for me.

I have both. I dont use the magic bullet anymore. I love the Nutribullet because it extracts the nutrients from the veggies and fruits so that you can digest them better being in liquid form. Great for getting in all my Vitamins in my morning smoothie. I use all kinds of recipes for different reasons, sometimes I need an energy boost, sometimes I need a Fiber boost, etc...I recommend the Nutribullet because you can fit so much more in it than the Magic Bullet.

Everyone is different but I tell people from my highest pre-surgery weight which was 242, Im at 146 so 96 pounds gone so far! I dont say 'pre-surgery' though. I just say Ive lost 96 pounds so far since last June (which is when I started everything).

You are doing great! Congrats on your 16's! What a great feeling. In my case it was true about sizes, as I got smaller (started at a screaming 18) the smaller sizes came quicker. Before I knew it I was wearing a comfortable 8! Keep up the great work.

I rarely do shakes anymore. A basic days menu for me is a hardboiled egg in the morning or some cottage cheese, a couple hours later I may have another or a couple strips of turkey bacon, lunch I usually have some chicken that I stripped off of a rotissiere chicken, a couple hours later I may have a couple more ounces of that, I munch on turkey Jerky bites, dinner is maybe some meatballs, a tilapia filet, more chicken, crockpot porkchop, lunchmeat rollups (lunchmeat with cream cheeses and a little chive rolled up), for a snack later I may have a glass of milk, a couple pieces of cheese or a small handful of almonds. I keep Protein Bars in my purse just in case Im out and about and need a meal quickly.

I usually check the appetizer selection for maybe some wings, at a mexican restaurant Ill have ceviche or fajitas, italian place Ill order some meatballs, I really havent found any restaurant that I wasnt able to find some kind of Protein. I especially like Dennys though because I can order 1 egg and a couple of turkey bacon strips, filling AND cheap lol. Ive never asked for any special preparation at a restaurant, not because I was afraid to, it just never occurred to me to do so.

I only had heartburn once pre-surgery and it started immediately for me after surgery. I have to take a PPI every day otherwise its unbearable. Ive been taking a PPI every day for the past 9 months. I hope it gets better one day.

Must follow this thread if only for entertainment purposes lol.
And by the way, I had a baggie size serving of movie theatre popcorn this weekend and the earth stopped moving, there was chaos in the streets and I think I may have lost 10 hairs. This is exactly what I expected to happen though

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums I had my surgery on May 13 2013 and my start weight was 375. At 10/4/13 I am 303. My goal weight is 250. I have researched the forums and watched many of the posts and learned from each post. Thank you for all your help in this weight loss journey..
Welcome Bigun71. You are almost in the 200's! Thats awesome. Congrats.

I've lost close to 100 lbs and wear an 8. To me I haven't changed a bit. I went from a 22 to an 8 and I just don't see it. I'm still self consience. I still need to lose a little over 20 lbs and I'm sure ill still see myself as "fat". At 5't' and 130 I know in my head that's not fat but can't see myself any differently.
Hope that changes over time. I do use the terms "bck when I was fat" a lot, I guess meaning that's my history, but still feel fat
I am also close to 100 pounds lost and in a size 8. From a screaming 18 (I refused to go bigger even if it looked too tight lol) to an 8 is almost like a dream. It cant be ME right?
You said "I do use the terms "back when I was fat" a lot", I say "when I was fatter" because I struggle with admitting that Im thin. I mean thin people wear size 8 pants right? I still see the fat girl in the mirror or when I shop in the junior section I feel like people think I dont belong there.
Im sure Ill get used to it, Ive gotten used to everything else (eating, drinking, etc.).

I'm glad someone asked this. I'm 3 weeks post-op and not being able to drink a few gulps is so annoying. I like to run and not being able to drink enough afterwards is frustrating! I'm also going to start a Bikram yoga class and I'm a little worried about the dehydration if I can't guzzle a bottle of Water like I used to.
I take hot yoga and I am able to hydrate myself just fine, no issues.

Wahoo! Great job!

I decided on the sleeve basically because I did not want my intestines re-routed, the malnutrition issues and risk of internal hernia at the incision sites. I found the sleeve to be more of a straightforward procedure...remove 85% of my stomach, done. The rest is on me.

I lost my mom when she was just a couple of years older than I am.....my entire life, at least from when I was in jr. high, my mom wore an 8, she always seemed so small, at least compared to me who at that time wore 14's, and that gradually increased. I was wearing 16's when she passed away. I think that is one reason I was soooo excited and so intent on getting to a size 8, I knew what an 8 looked like!!!
Again, congrats. How tall are you? We are just about the same size, I weighed 143 this morning, I've been maintaining between 143.5 - 146.5. I was down a little today, but it's always up and down a little different each morning!
Well Im very sorry that you lost your mom so early. But I completely get the connection with the size 8 in particular. The only recollection I have is being in my 20's and being a size 6 then 8. But in my 20's I certainly didnt appreciate the single number size because i didnt 'bulk up' until I was 30.
But in answer to your question, Im 5'4 and am currently at 148.5 (I usually only flucuate by a pound). Since Ive been able to maintain it for more than a week, I can commit to the number lol. If I was down to 147 only for a day or two I dont believe it until Ive there for at least a week. But what a big difference just a few pounds makes at this weight. I really thought Id have to lose a lot more to go down another pant size but nope...size 8's are here lol.
But even being in the size 8, I dont feel 'small'. The only time I believe is if Im shown a picture. For some reason, if I look in the mirror I still see the fat girl but if I see it in a picture I can see Ive lost weight. Silly huh?

Awesome results. Congrats on your success.

Its not really that exciting but if you put on some background music while dry brushing and shimmy like no one's looking then I guess it could get a little steamy lol.

Nutribullet v. Magic bullet?

I used mine to puree meatballs with sauce and riccotta besides the normal shakes. Its very strong, can mill almonds into flour. It has much more power then MagicBullet. My MagicBullet couldnt even crush ice.
