Love my sleeve: hate my body

I know how you feel, but as the others said, we are healthier now... better to have the skin unfilled than filled... Congrats on the great loss so far!

    Do you exercise?

Hi Ree,I've not started to exercise yet - but plan to go to a kettlecise class tonight! I was sleeved on 11th Oct 12 and have managed to lose at least 70lbs so far - I try not to weigh myself too often, as if its not a loss or no big loss I get despondent... so better just to do it every few weeks. I too am 5ft tall, and can relate to the driving situ. What about starting off with just doing something from your armchair, lifting your legs up and down, just little movement things.. aim to do even 3 mins of the walking video and increase every few days. Have you had surgery yet? If not, when is it planned for?

    Subway?

I tried a wrap, and after a couple of bites I had had enough... made good choices for the filling too. I've not touched 'bread' since I was sleeved.

    Have a question

I'm coming up for 7 months out, and I too have had some issues - only with the largest of my incisions though.. intense itching - bordering on slight pain... it usually goes away after half an hour or so

    Good moth 6+ style lunch

I had some turkey roll ups today - chewed very slowly - and when I say 'some' I meant two small ones.

    Resetting the system

I hope that this works for you. I'm 6 month out and have felt that I've let slip - not even started to exercise yet! really need to get my act together too. Please keep us informed of your progress with this.

    Crystal Light

I love crystal light (and versions of it) too! I live in UK, but buy on ebay and get it sent over as you can't buy it here - not that I've found anyway - I use at least 3 each day - its one of my 'couldn't live without's

    Biotin - any success stories?

I've been taking 10,000mg x 2 each day since my op, along with horsetail and B2 and B complex - my hair has grown like weeds but now that I'm almost 6 months out, my hair is falling out as quickly - although I'm not overly concerned due to the rate it is growing back in. HOpe that it works for you.
  13. That's the feeling I could get... kind of like your body really 'needs' something.. as someone said previously, maybe just not eating enough of the right kind of foods.. I know that I don't get enough protein in some days..
  14. Up until about 8 weeks I would get this extreme hunger, but a couple bites and I would be full... my surgeon did wonder if it could be a bug in my tummy that was causing this - I got blood tests but never heard any more, so presume that it wasn't this - as I'm now 24 weeks out.. I can honestly say that that sort of extreme hunger, where you could eat your hand if you don't get something to eat instantly.. has gone. I feel I can control my eating more - I've went through the 'can I have this' phase - and realise that although I 'can' eat it, I'm choosing not to, as it makes me feel blah...

    Too Much Easter Dinner!

    I feel your pain
  16. That's a great idea Laura-ven - think that's going to be what I will do. I have found previously that chicken can be too dry and sticks, but if its boiled, as you say, it will be moist.
  17. After yesterday, I'm definetly adding Ice Cream to my 'I will never eat again' list..This is along with chocolate and alcohol - which I stopped drinking about two years ago (being a diabetic, it just wasn't worth the suffering for me). I know, also being a diabetic, chocolate shouldn't have been in my 'diet' anyway.. nor ice cream for that matter, but yesterday I gave in and after not being able to down the turkey, I wanted to feel part of the meal and went for the ice cream... this morning I realised my error.. its just way too much of a slide food - should come with DANGER on the side for us sleevers.. Has anyone else made any major life decisions this Easter?
