  1. I'm sitting here with a smile on my face - that is so great and I bet both you and he were very excited! My daughter keeps commenting on the fact she can see my collar bones now

    Anyone have any "good" hairloss?

I;ve got hair on my tummy button, and some facial hair- I've lost quite a bit of weight, but the hair keeps growing - I put it down to the biotin I'm taking for my head hair to grow...? I've had the 'extra' hair as an issue for many years though, something I've learned just to live with - but hate the facial hair the most..

    Onederland!

well done! I've been in a stall for what seems like forever - in reality its since Christmas - I know how frustrating it is. Great news that you are now in onderland

    Stall

I've been on a stall since before Christmas - I'm now 16 months out - but I know that I've not been doing what I should, and a rotator cuff injury (both shoulders) has stopped any exercise that would have been useful. I've started today with the Protein shakes at least twice a day - I'm on my second one now - hoping to get right off the carbs - they are a monster! Crackers has been my downfall. Hoping that you get some answers soon.

The worst time of the year!

I've got no words of wisdom, but just wanted to say that I'm so sorry you are feeling that way. Maybe you could see about getting a doctor who would prescribe you some more meds to see you over this hump? Or maybe try to look in to the reasons of what does make you feel like this - as you say, its getting brighter days etc.. I know that last year and all the years previous - especially when the kids were little, I got slightly depressed as Summer approached, as I knew I wasn't going to be able to do the things with the kids that I would have liked to do - or wear all the nice summer clothes - now I'm smaller, I could wear the clothes - just I hate my arms so much I need three quarter sleeves unless I have a cardigan on top - small price to pay for being healthier though - just wish it wasn't happening twenty years ago.. I hope you get to feeling better very soon x

    Life Decisions...

I agree with elfnow - My condifence has certainly grown since I had the surgery. It does seem to have changed how people perceive me too - although I realise that shouldn't really be the case.

    Ever able to "gulp" again?

I'm 16 months out and can take three to four gulps no problem - won't chance anything more though without a break

    biotin

I take two 10,000mcg a day too, and have stronger nails than ever before! I was to the hair dresser the other week, and she said she sees the new growth coming in - I have lost some, but my hair length has also been on overdrive, so its compensated for it somewhat.

    Recovery set back

Hi, You will find that some days are far better than others - maybe today/tomorrow you will feel like you are on day 9 - just listen to your body and try to take it easy. Rome wasn't built in a day

    Dry Lips

I'm interested in the advocado oil - what sort of form is this in please? do you get it online? is it like a facial wash?

    Dry Lips

It sure is horrible, and you feel conscious of it all day. In reality probably no one else notices, but it is definetly not nice.Hope that you find something to help soon.

    Dry Lips

I'm vitamin b2 deficient and get bad cracking at the sides of my mouth. I just need to use extremely good lip balms.. and upped my vitamin intake

    Gratitudes

I am grateful for being able to almost run up the stairs, and no panting at all. For being able to wear nicer clothes and smaller sizes mean being able to shop in more of the mainstream stores.

    Rash on Face

sorry to hear this - cracked lips can be a sign of Vitamin b2 deficiency... I have that - taking my supplements but still cracked at the edges - I also have a 'bruise' at the corner of my mouth - but as my mother had this too, I put it down to being hereditary.. perhaps not though

    oh my achin' sleeve!

Ive had a sore sleeve many times... especially around the early part, up until about 8 months out. I just put it down to it healing. Interesting that you took some ginger chunks - is that like real pieces of ginger?

    7 months out my story

    7mo post op...I need help

Please talk to your Mom - she WILL understand - sure you might get an earful for five minutes, but likelihood is that she already will know what you are going to say - Moms are good that way...
  22. I'm in UK. so what I use is probably unavailable in US, but I always use unsweetened almond milk nowadays, as oppose to water - I feel I enjoy it a lot more and its the shake doesn't fill me with any dread whatsoever

    Feeling defeated.

I know it can take it out of you - but don't feel defeated yet - keep strong! It did take me 6 years from the start of enquiring, to actually getting my surgery - but it was worth it - so don't ever say never
