    Pain In My Leg/hip?

Hi Newbie, I had my sleeve done on Oct. 8th. I'd been having leg pain for several months, but got worse by week 2 after surgery, so called dr and went on prednisone dose pac. That didn't help so yesterday I went to pain management dr and had epidural steroid injection, helped a lot!!! He said I had classic sciatica. The pain radiated from a bulging disc in my back, down my butt, into my thight and if I stood in one place for more than a few minutes my foot would go numb. Problem is the steroids sure don't help with losing weight. I lost 21 lbs in first 2 weeks. I'm close to one month out now and have not lost another lb. Even gained a few, but those are gone. Also went through dehydration between week 2-3. Sure hoping things get back on track here soon. Getting pretty discouraged. Hang in there!

    Feeling Really Down

The night of my surgery,in the hospital where you get no sleep anyway, I lay awake and wondered, regretted and blamed myself for what I had done. I thought I was crazy to have done this and SO full of regret. The next afternoon the dietician walked in and told me one thing I may feel in the first couple of weeks was depression and regret for the surgery and it was a perfectly normal reaction. I thought Thank God , I'm normal. Still "bluesy" as dietician called it, but it comes and goes.
  3. Valdosta, I'm right there with you. Having a hard time getting all my Protein and Water in. Just taking a shower wears me out, dont have any idea how you handle two sick kids. Congrats on your loss so far. I'm 5 days out and my loss is more like 10 lbs. Actually gained a lb yesterday, I'm sure since not getting enough protein. Today working really hard to get everything in, but it's all consuming. I need to be outside starting exercise, but just no way right now. Hang in there, we'll do great!!! Shannon
