Nov. 19 with Dr. Ponce in TJ.

Too many carbs, right? Maybe I'll go with the many suggestions that I have seen from people who like Pure Protein in Frosty Chocolate. I see many of you are getting it at Costco or SAMs. Very concerned about finding a protein drink that I actually like. Surgery on Nov. 19th.

Did any of you decide to have your doctor go ahead and remove your gallbladder when you had your sleeve surgery? I really don't want to have a gallbladder attack in the future but I also don't want to have to take meds to prevent an attack every day either.

Can you guys post ages with your response also? I think there might be a difference in what a 20 y.o. and those of us age 40 and up might experience. I'm curious to see answers.

Hi, New here and not sleeved yet. For those of you already sleeved, how hard was it to truly change your eating habits post surgery? Did you still have mental cravings?

Trying to decide on what Vitamins & supplements to go with post surgery. I have read posts on the nutrition section of this forum but I still find myself wondering what Mexico sleevers have been going with. Curious about brand and type (powder, gummy, chewable, etc.) Thinking of ordering some specific bariatric kind but not sure. Currently, I take One & Only for women which I buy from a Vitamin health food store but the pill is rather large so I'm thinking that won't work directly after surgery. I also take Biotin, alpha lipoid acid and selenium.

As having surgery is such an incredibly personal decision, I have decided not to tell anyone. I'm single and have no children so its fairly easy for me to let friends and family think I'm just going on a little Mexican vacation. Is there anyone else here who has chosen not to share this with anyone?

Anyone here do CrossFit?

I did Crossfit for about two years ago back around 2007. I weighed a good bit less then but literally worked my a-- off in order to weigh a good bit less. Working full time and being enrolled in not one but two graduate programs at the same time took all my time and energy so I gave it up and wound up putting my weight back on . It's definitely hard but very satisfying. I miss it and the people there. No way could or would try it now. Hoping to get back there in a few months post surgery. I made the original post b/c I was wondering how sleeved Crossfitters deal with/ perform the intense CF workouts while consuming so few calories. Perhaps, overload on Protein?

Maybe your new addiction can be the gym.

I have narrowed my surgeon choices down to the following: Dr. Jamie Ponce de leon Dr. Lopez & Dr. Osana Dr. Fernando Garcia I'm sure you did lots pd research. What exactly made you go with Dr. Ponce??? Congrats on you fabulous progress. You look fantastic!
