  1. Yesterday I had no choice but to take a car ride. I had a driver take my son and I to an important appointment. I thought no problem I will go along. Well today I feel like I have taken 2 steps backwards! I was feeling well walking every other hour for 15 min. NOT TODAY! All the bumps and the seat belt and riding around made me feel like I was hit by a truck! Even my lungs aren't inhaling as well as they were. I am so sad that I went backwards...
  2. It is a hard process! I was denied the first time... then was given many different options by the coordinator. If I would have been denied the second time they would have done a peer to peer. Another option was talk to the weight loss attorney they use, then given the number to a finance place for medical procedures. What ever you do don't give up it is worth every tear you cry. I know this because it took from July till October of this year for my fight! I was sleeved on Monday and would battle Anthem all over again if I had to!
  3. Call your Dr. It's very important. He or she can check for infections! That is the last thing you want while recovering.
  4. I want to ware my wedding bands again!
  5. He is so hard and not cuddly at all. But very cute! Since I haven't had to cough I use him to hold my ice pack in place
  6. I just got home myself from the hospital! I am feeling really good only pain I have is where the tools were inserted. I didn't have much nausea because the nurse put some patch behind my ear I'm suppose to leave on for 3 days. They sent me home with a medicine to prevent nausea also. Feel better!
  7. Yes I am. I used a walker the first 3 times after that to get the gas pressure off my shoulders would hold them above my head for a little whole I walked. And laying flat works wonders too! I don't have gas pressure in my shoulders anymore. Only in the stomach area. But its not that painful. When I feel a gas pain coming on I take a gas x and then hit the hallways!
  8. Yes! I took it every other hour last night. And once this morning. Make sure you have ice chips so it doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth when you use it the first few times. I discovered that!
  9. What I brought was a book while I waited in pre-op. Chap stick, and Gas X I brought my phone and charger for music. Brought my own tooth brush and paste. They did provide it but would rather use my own. I came in a jammie gown with a robe and slippers. I haven't used my slippers but I am using my robe.... the hospital is to cold to add one more gown. My robe is a life saver! Hope that helps
  10. Don't know why it added 3 pics! I only got one...
  11. I got the cutest gift from my Dr.'s office last night after I woke up! His nurse walked in and said this is for you from us at the office. What a great souvenir from the hospital to take home. (other then only a small portion if my stomach)
  12. I am doing well! The gas is the very worst part by far! Other than that the ice packs and walking do help. I can't show it because they have me so doped up.... I am so very excited! Thank you for asking!
  13. So far so good. Done with prep and waiting for my turn! I will keep everyone posted! Thanks for the well wishes
  14. So far so good. Done with prep and waiting for my turn! I will keep everyone posted! Thanks for the well wishea
  15. I am so over excited that tomorrow is my turn to join the losers bench at 9am!!! See you all on the other side!
  16. That clothes shopping still won't be any fun... I am dreading a new wardrobe. I am sure it will change when I'm out of the 3x sizes.
  17. I did that too! It made this pro op diet sooooo much easier! I'm glad I did it because now I'm not craving a thing!!! Kids eat in front of me and it doesn't bother me one bit! Happy losing!!!
  18. My NUT said it didn't matter when I had the meal as long as it was a meal put together of the approved list of food. I ate lunch instead of dinner! On all liquid now....
  19. I read one how a lady said her friend passed in Mexico she never said which Dr.
  20. If you have a costco close to you the vanilla premier Protein... is great! Taste like tapioca pudding! The chocolate Premier Protein is a wonderful smooth chocolate flavor! You can taste the Vitamins in them, however they are very yummy! They have 30 grams of protein in each shake too. I have tried others, but these are my fav!
  21. The time goes by so fast! My surgery is 10-22 and I wake up every day counting down the days! I keep myself busy. Been sewing jammies to wear after so there is no band around my waist. Made the kids a few things fun! DISTRACTIONS! Let me tell you it has helped!
  22. Outstanding! How excited are you right now?!? Happy losing!
  23. OK so I have been so excited I don't know when my nerves are gonna kick in. My surgery is in 4 days (10-22) and I am as excited as I was the day I found out my insurance approved me! I still feel like its a dream. It has been a crazy battle just to get approved.
