    You are so funny... I went crazy too and brought pretty summer dressed that I might fit into when I hit goal... and I don't even know what size that I will be when I hit goal.....
  2. I am a tall Gal , about 5'8" ... I have always had big feet. When I was younger I would ask my Dad " Why are my feet so big compared to other girls in my class ?" He used to say: Honey, you can't put Volkswagen tires on a Cadillac ! Well, I am wondering if any of you Veteran Sleevers are wearing a smaller shoe size now that you have lost a good portion of your excess weight or did they stay the size length but just got thinner ??? I am soooo curious if my size 11 feet will turn into a size 9 maybe or maybe not lol

    Calling all Smoothies!

    Yes My Dear I love smoothies too ... I am hooked since I got my Nutribullet: Killer chocolate Protein shake recipe 1/2 banna 8 oz of Low Carb Milk or Almond Milk , or Skim Milk your choice 1 scoop of Jay Robb Chocolate whey Protein powder 1 tbls of Hershey's cocoa natural unsweetened 1 tbls of powdered Peanut Butter (company that makes it is Bell Plantation) called PB2 4 ice cubes....... try this it is to die for......Yummy.... It only tastes Sinful
  7. Your right lipstick lady, when I was pre-op, I asked my insurance company " why 6 mo supervised diet" , they said that it was not them it was my employer who required that, they only enforce guidelines employer put in place.
  8. Sorry, I meant 3 chewable fiber choice prebiotic fiber sugar free fiber tablets strawberry flavor... Why is it my kids only bug me when I want to post a reply and ruin my train of thought ?!?
  9. I too still feel hungry, my actual hunger did not completely vanish, however, nothing like pre-op. what I started doing is taking 3 fiber choice prebiotic chewable fiber, chew slowly, then follow with water 30 min later. It really helps me ward off stomach pangs.
  10. I have been trying different variations of the infamous " Super Green Smoothie " for added nutrition and protein , however , They taste like ! Grass ! , any tips on making them more Super tasting and less like you are drinking Grass Clippings.
  11. I admire your honesty... I know you will do great on this journey... Just keep in the back of your mind and keep reminding yourself : Skinny feels better than that tastes...... You know what my weakness is ??? Coffee... I have some every now and then because I miss it so much and decaf is a waste of my time lol ... I have to drink the good stuff star bucksTake care of yourself
  12. Snap out of it..... I know what your going through... I have 3 sons at home and they eat all day long and all 3 are skinny... It is like being a crack head that just went thru rehab , but we still have to live in the crack house... it is not fair , but that is our reality now... Here are some tips that I use..... When I need something crunchy and salty I eat : Mary's gone Crackers with cheese and turkey pepperoni melted in the microwave.... when I need something sweet I eat : ricotta cheese with a little bit of vanilla and splenda or with sugar free apricot jelly.. When I am really desperate .. I have one spoon of honey and it calms my sweet tooth If I am craving fried Chicken... tyson makes an all natural chicken nuggets breaded with whole grain flour, it comes in a green bag, it is really low in carbs and tastes like fried chicken. If you want spaghetti .... bake some spaghetti squash and serve it a meatball and some sauce.... Please Snap out of it... You are almost in Onederland.... You have 16 pounds to go....Stay strong ok... you can find healthy alternatives for the bad foods you crave !!! You will do great !! Good Luck to you

    Stay on your merry way..... I never had a chance to sit down and talk to my nutritionist because you have to make an appointment then go downtown to her office.... however, My surgeon said one really important thing to me that I have been sticking by and it has been working really good for me.. he said that you should never know how much you are really eating... he said you should eat 3 meals a day no snacks and eat until you begin to feel full then stop...... wait one hour then drink water..... stop water 1 hour before eating your next meal.... It has been helping me because this diet is also a lifestyle change.. and we can't eat like "zombies" constantly counting this and that... just eat 3 modest high protein meals with veggies a day and stop when you feel full ... and if you need snacks just make them protein snacks. Always remember Protein first and you won' t fail...... by the way .. that is the only advise he ever gave me.. he spent the rest of his time talking me into getting RNY instead of Sleeve...     Any Tips on making Green smoothie not taste like Grass

    OMG...I just got the Nutri bullet too... lol I paid enough for it so I will drink a green smoothie even if it kills me lol I make a killer chocolate Peanut Butter banna Protein shake.... but everytime I make a green smoothie ... I wave my fists in the air and yell " Why must you taste like Grass " yuk..... Then I watch Doctor OZ and his smoothies taste like Grass too.... lol I will try putting avacados into it like you mentioned and I might do a 50/50 spinach , lettuce just to break up the taste a little... I never thought to sweeten with some prunes.. I will try that too, because it helps with constipation lol.. ok thanks for the great ideas, I will try that next time sounds good.... By the way in case you are interested, you can make it in your nutri bullet.     The same thing happens to me when I eat Mayonnaise.... Mayonnaise is my favorite food condiment, so, now I can't have tuna salad or egg salad , with mayonnaise because I get violently ill.... same conditions you have except I feel sooooo nauseous for like 2 hours and sooo tired... To tell you the truth.. I wish it was dumping syndrome so I can use the bathroom at least..... the sleeve makes you sooo constipated.. RNY patients always have clean pipes thanks to dumping syndrome.
  16. I cheated during my post op diet....... My doctor said drink only clear liquids all day long for 1 week prior to surgery.. and while I was doing that. I had to take care of 3 children , a husband, a house. I could not do it... I ate salads with grilled chicken or shrimp in between the liquids. I just could not do it, I had no energy. so, I did not follow orders, however, I ate no fat or junk, just salads.

    Goodness why would your surgeon use a 50 French bougie, did you ask him why when you went to your follow up checkup.... Tannak had stomach scar tissue and her surgeon only used a 40 French bougie... Did he tell you why when you confronted him about it ??? because I would be pissed off too... Did he think maybe having a larger sleeve would make it easier to revise to RNY afterwards since he was pushing you towards RNY like my surgeon did until the last minute ??

    I understand your frustration because I am feeling the same way. I do feel hungry and I need to eat small meals through out the day to keep myself satisfied, however , I can't eat larger-than-average amounts of food. I can only eat 2-3 oz per meal, and I eat 4 times a day. I am not sure about bougie size having anything to do with it. I had a 36 bougie.... but I read that if the surgeon did not remove enough of the "fundus" I believe it is called then we still feel a little hunger, not as much as before the surgery, but we still feel it more than those who had more of their "fundus" removed.

    This is what I can't wrap my brain around......... I am a big girl and my basal metabolic rate was like saying I needed so many calories so that my organs can function properly.... I am eating sooo little and hit a weight stall..... I am assuming that we are all in starvation mode... it just doesn't make sense to me... everything I ate today was usually one snack for me on a good day.... sooooo what is up with that ??? I have a hard time talking to my surgeon because he was against the sleeve and gave a hard push towards the RNY until the very end... and I mean while I was about to be put under and I still heard.. not too late to change.... anyways... I don't know We must all be in starvation mode that is the only answer I can come up with.........We might have to eat small protein meals a few times a day to break it.

    Now I am sooo curious " How big is it " 36, 38 , 40 French bougie ???? In the first couple of weeks after my surgery, I was feeling hungry and for the life of me could not figure why since I just had surgery..... one day I cried and raised my hands and yelled ??? Why ??? am I soooo hungry ??? Why ??? I thought that they got rid of the hunger producing hormone ghrenlin during surgery. then I thought my surgeon sabotaged me because he kept trying to talk me into the RNY even as I was on the stretcher going into surgery......The you know what I just started eating small meals through out the day instead of 3 main meals.... so , I found a way to stop my constant hunger. maybe you will find a way to adjust things to where they work for you. I think you will do great.... look on the bright side at least your stomach has a smaller capacity then before.....

    Size 32 Bougie

    I had a 36 French... and I can barely eat 2 oz of tuna fish in one meal... I am better at getting protein shakes down than real food, even though I have a larger bougie , my restriction is pretty good. I asked my doctor why 36 not 32.. he said " less acid reflux problems and the mm difference if very small between the bougies unless you get a 60 French......

    Post op march sleevers

    I was sleeved on March 25th......... I have been at a 2 week stall also....... I am wondering if we ate more.. like every 3 hours even if it is a couple of bites of something.... will that rev up our metabolism to shed the weight.... I am assuming that we are all stalled because of " slow metabolism", due to starvation mode...... I don't know ???? just thinking of what might be the matter with these darn stalls.... they are really annoying ?!?

    Leak after stomach healed?

    That sounds sooooo painful. Oh my gosh !!! I thought that the stomach heals in about 4-8 weeks and after that you are in the clear from leaks, but from what your story says..... our stomach will be fragile for the rest of our lives.... thanks for sharing her story, it is a learning moment for me.

    Desperately seeking advice

    I am 3 weeks out......... and I am stalled right now.... the scale has not moved for about 1 week. I exercise, I have healthy protein meals 2-3 oz.. try to drink all my water, fall short of a few ounces..... and I am stalled.... just hang in there, try to eat simple protein meals like grilled shrimp or grilled chicken or fish with simple steamed veggies, supplement with protein shakes or soups.... I am not a nutritionist but I have been dieting all my life, I feel when we start this journey, we really should not complicate our meals so soon. stay away from processed food like pre made frozen store brought grilled chicken, these foods have a lot of sodium and you will retain soooo much water. I hope my stall and yours will pass soon !!!
