  1. I JUST got insurance approval and I'm the 21st, too
  2. I'm currently waiting for insurance approval, I just finished my 6 month qualification process. I'm Liz, I started a Vlog on YouTube about my journey. I'm 25 from Indiana. Feel free to message me. So happy you've made the choice to get healthy!
  3. I'm going to venture to say a lot of it has to do with pre op diet or stress. Whatcha eatin'? Lol
  4. Geeze I had to say something because I've passed this several times an every time I saw it my heart panicked. I kept reading thinking it said Oldham county. Scary thought! OP, where in KY are you? I know Louisville has quite a few Bariatric programs and there are some in IN that may be worth the drive.
  5. My pre op is fairly simple. For 1-2 weeks a 1,200 calorie diet and 2 days before surgery, clear liquids. However I'm very paranoid about my liver being fatty so I plan on adding 2 days of full liquids between low cal and clears I'm very lucky my surgical team has such realistic guidelines. Post op is pretty easy, 3-4 days clears, a little over a week full liquids/mushies then solids. All pretty much at my own pace. But my nut trusts me. She knows how paranoid I am about a leak haha
  6. So so much comes from b vitamins! I suggest a b complex I think Bariatric advantage has one, and lots of companies have a sublingual b12
  7. I'll say it- there is no way you are in the position to have this surgery. Right now you need psychological intervention, not surgical. Also, in case this isn't a troll post you'd be amazed at the weight you'll lose when you stop drinking.
  8. Thanks for this. I'm pre op but this is pretty interesting
  9. Instructions? Sounds like something I'd love try
  10. Thought I'd chime in. I just gave my godson his meds for this. It looks like thrush. All your suggestions from other posters are good. They do have medication for it if you feel the need for a dr's advice. It's a medicated mouthwash. Swish and spit! Easy for adults.... Hard to get this baby to though lol good luck!
  11. Oh yay, we're together!! My 6 months was up on the 6th of November and I have Anthem, too. The waiting is killer! Let's keep in touch!!
  12. This is pretty much my pre op diet, too. It's all about low fat to soften up and shrink the liver. That's what I was told anyway. And my nut is very realistic. She knows most patients have a busy schedule and those are quick, small, and reasonable pre op.
  13. Anyone else have an itchy scalp after taking their biotin? I've only taken it for a week and my hea has been itching like CRAZY for 3 days. I haven't changed shampoos or anything, it's driving me crazy? Thoughts, advice, similar situations?
  14. Anyone have a good iron supplement that is t sour? My mom loves BA's iron but I hate sweet tarts do the iron makes me gag. Thoughts?
  15. It was ok until I got to the last 2 weeks waiting for my last nut appointment. That took FOREVER and so is waiting to hear from my insurance company.
  16. Another random thought- dont take iron and calcium citrate together. They just cancel each other out. Take them at different times
