  1. Ok... so the full feeling postop is totally different then the full feeling preop
  2. Lets face it... were all werent/are fat because we stop eating when we are "content" My version of being content is full.... so I was wondering postop is there a "switch" or a light that goes off when you are done eating... or do u have to gainer a bigger sense of self control?
  3. Keep on fighting for yourself and your health! Don't give up. Maybe they'll get tired of the appeals... ya never know. Just hang in there.u didn't come this far for nothing
  4. See... I have a different attitude. It is my business but I've pretty much said f*class it.... this is me... this is what I'm doing... you don't.like it then f*ck off. My family and friends have been very supportive of me. My "boy" ( I refuse sometimes to call him my.man if he acts like a child) on the otherhand is hard to read. He really isn't that supportive so hes about.to get the.boot soon... because when I'm all secure withmyself and sexified I'm not gonna have time for the.bullshit. but anyways... I think I told everyone when the idea crossed my mind is when I started to tell people. Good luck to you all!!
  5. Cincinnati Ohio here.... Holla Holla!!!!
  6. No they will not deny you because of slow/no weight loss! You'll be fine.
  7. Yeah waiting is the worst!! I started this whole process in may and my surgery won't be till January.... some testing is required my.the drs office and some testes are insurance requirements.... I think it just depends on the drs/insurance.preference. I have had just about ever test done to me along with a 6 month supervised diet.... I had the ekg, egd, sleep study, went to a cardiologist, a pulmonary specialist, tonssss of bloodwork and now all I have left is a physch evaluation, support group meeting and a postop diet meeting.
  8. Yeah I must agree... I can't wait for skinny sex. It just isn't the same anymore.
  9. Being happy! Something so Simple yet so hard to comeby. Once I am happy in my own skin... not feeling embarrassed, ashamed, or guilty... then everything else will fall into place. I want to live again.
  10. I Miss my dear dear friend....ohhhhh wellllll
  11. I was originally going with the band so I gave up pop... can u drink diet pop with the sleeve?
  12. I would say failing. Take all this time and energy out and it not working for me
  13. I actually asked why I had to do a 6month diet and I was told ... some insurance companies want to make sure that you are dedicated and also ...the main reason.... a lot of people want to get surgery right away and if they have to wait 6months they'll either say I'm just going to do it on my own or become self.pay. I was told it doesn't matter if I lose weight. Its just an insurance requirement and that's it
  14. I just posted the same topic a couple weeks ago because for 4 months I knew I was getting the band ( I have a 6 month diet before surgery) some of my band.forum girls started a lil facebook group and everyday I would hear them say... I'm still hungry... I'm 3 months out and have.only lost blah amount... I'm not in the green zone. I've heard so many comments in those areas. Plus when I came.here and asked someone pointed out... how many.people have you ment that had a band for 10 years? I don't know anyone... plus once u get the band removed your stomach goes back to preop size. I also watched a video and it basically said the sleeve will make u eat better... the.band will not. I'm a huge girl and.I didn't want to commit to a surgery that I may only.loose 40 lbs with or in 10 years be iin the same situation. The only.reason from the beginning I chose the sleeve because they weren't removing anything and it was reversible ... well hell... take out my stomach and I don't want it.back!!!! I am now getting the band. Make the best decision for you and good luck!!
  15. Yeah I've seen more doctors in the last 5 months than what I have in the last 10 year!!!!
  16. I'm late but also in Cincinnati!!! Whoop whoop! I go to dr. Northup in mercy fairfield!!
  17. No... a lot of times its an insurance restriction for the 6 month diet. I have heard a couple reasons for this #1 if people HAVE to go on a 6 month diet than some may be dismayed and either quit.or become self pay. #2 reason is because they want to show the insurance company that no you cannot lose a significant amount of weight. I am 5 months into my 6 months and losing a total of 10lbs maybe.... if that.
  18. Congrats!!! You'll be fine!
  19. ...also... fast before your appointment starting.the.night before. That'll help a lil to. Its so sad...I'm an expert on loosing weight right up until my appointment.
  20. That was great info and appreciated!!!
  21. Im right with you there. I was set on the band. For the last 4 months i KNEW thats what I wanted then outa nowhere... and I mean nowhere I had doubts. Some lapbank talk forum girls and I started a facbook lapband talk and this other girl posted she changed her mind and was getting the sleeve. SHe also posted a video and I just feel the sleeve is right for me. The ONLY reason at the beginning that I didnt choose that route first was because its a lil riskier. My LPN even haas told me every drs appointment... guess what.. The sleeve has been approved. I think egging me to go that direction. Im not looking to loose 50...60.. or even 100 lbs. im looking to loose more. I dont think the band will give me those results and not only that... NO i havnt come across anyone who has had the band for more than 10 years. I dont want to be fat again.. not in 10 year 20 years or even when im 60... **** ima be old and sexy!! haha!!
  22. Hell.. im looking forward to having less rolls just about any/everywhere!
  23. ... and what alot of people forget is that just because you dont see lbs goin away on the scale that doesnt mean you arent dropping inches. Expecially if you are exercising!!!
  24. I had mine a couple weeks ago and the nerves working up to it are worse than the procedure. for me they gave me an iv.. rolled me into a room.. had insert a mouthpiece (so that they could put the tube in eaasier) put me to sleep and a couple mins later it seemed I woke up laughing because I was talking like I was drunk. Felt fine right afterwards and got a day off of work for it!!
  25. OMGGGGG!!!! I have to ask HOW did you loose so much so fast? I know since im so large and in charge that it till come off a little faster in the beginniing then say someone that is 75 lbs less than myself. But what are you doing, eating, any excersize? Share with me the goods. If i could loose that much that fast.. i would be the happiest non fat person in the world!!
