Mexico Octosleevers! Add Your Name, Date And Surgeon!
- New Jogger Help Needed
Definitely get good shoes! And socks. You should know when you found a good pair because they don't need a break-in period. (My orthopedic dr. Told me that one) lol. There are some specific shoe stores that will watch you jog around and determine the best type of shoe and offer different brands. Definitely do the intervals when starting out. A lot of people use c25k app and it times it for you and cues you. And DEFINITELY do some stretching. I currently have plantar fasciitis and it is crippling/debilitating. It sucks. Jogging/running was cheap therapy for me and now I can't until I'm all healed. (Ligament that runs along the bottom of the foot) And enjoy it!- My Terrible Day
How did she not know your BMI to begin? Because she's an idiot. The first thing they do at ANY bariatric surgeons office....insurance then BMI. sometimes money is before BMI. but they certainly know what it is prior to you going in there for the consultation so the surgeon doesn't invest his time on someone. After your consultation, most patients do not see their surgeon again until surgery. I would find a different nutritionist because NUT seems to fit this one. She may be qualified, but she is definitely derelict in her performance. It is definitely a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't want her on my "case" if I were a patient there. Either way, a 2nd opinion wouldn't hurt and getting on the right track to finding the time needed to get what you need and deserve.- Whole Foods

Great to have them in al in one post. Thanks for posting!- Weigh More But Smaller Size
.- Goal Weight
That's the part that makes me sick. When I was in the military and worked out twice a day x5 days per week (one cardio the other weights), I was not going to be on the lighter end of 140. I am 5'8". I remember stepping on the scale (as the only female at my duty station) and everyone started laughing because I was over my "allowed" weight limit. Not laughing AT me. I remember my LT was stunned. He just looked and said "go put on your PT gear." i came back and he told the coordinator to take my measurements-not weigh me. The coordinator just looked and stated, "that won't be necessary." I remember it so vividly because being overweight in the military is NOT a good thing. I have a picture from that moment - now, I was no body builder, but 5xa week with a personal trainer....I was ok. So, how the he!! Can someone say I was obese, when my body fat % on that specific day and time was 14%??? Ridiculous!!!! Soap box rant over.- Mexico Octosleevers! Add Your Name, Date And Surgeon!

Wow!!! I know you're excited. Wishing you a super speedy recovery!- Can Someone Please Try To Answer:-)
I would say "yes." Depending on how much you need to lose and if there is going to be skin left over. Some people may have 20 lbs of skin that may keep them from that magical number. I will say I have about 60-70 lbs to lose and 3 different bariatric surgeons attempted to sell me on the bypass. I personally feel that is too invasive for myself. Wishing you the best!- Period After Surgery
Time of month- January 2013 Sleevers?
- Wow - Just Added Up The Cost Of My Surgery - $81865.22
They charge so much because the negotiated rates and what they will actually be paid will equal to about 15k-20k. Ridiculous. Its a vicious cycle. Bleh- Here's A Thought, Shut Up!
My response to the family is simple: "are you asking because you truly care about ME, or because you're curious/nosey?" Haters are goin to hate. Plain and simple. And the very real truth to this is...it usually has something to do with themselves. If the question continues of "why didn't you tell ME?" simple. "I wanted to avoid all of the questions and judgement." Whew. Were we talking about yours or my family? Lol. Hang in there.- Period After Surgery

Nutritionist appointment.- 1 Day Post Op, Lots Of Pain :(
I also read a lot of these posts and seems that several post-sleeves say to definitely take the pain meds. So, don't be too proud and think you can tolerate it and everything will be okay - just take them, unless you are advised not to for some reason. I do hope you feel better and after a couple do days, you will feel superbly better! Best wishes.- Down In The Dumps!
That's 4.57 lbs. per week. I'd say that's pretty good. Let the body have time to catch up with what's going on, then the lbs. will start coming off again.- Surgery W/ Dr. Lopez Tomorrow Oct 24Th
Congratulations. You'll be great.- Nectar
I don't know about free samples, but mybariatricpantry.com sells a sample pack Of several flavors. There's a few other places, but that one is the best as far as shipping goes, in my experience. Hope this helps. - New Jogger Help Needed
