  1. You guys make me wish I could switch my date to December! I will be in Cancun in January! Bummer! I will sit here and cheer you on and be sure to save a seat for me on the losers bench.
  2. Yes they can! I go inside and ask and they fix it right up! I have 2-3 a week (I am pre-sleeve) it's soooo good.
  3. Congratulations! Mine is January 11 - I put my deposit down last month. I laughed and told my husband it was so I could get through the holidays (busy time of year, self-employed) and I could wait and make sure I didn't have the surgery for nothing if the apocalypse occurs in December like the Mayans predict. Good luck and enjoy the journey!
  4. Awww...congratulations! What a wonderful feeling!
  5. Insecure or just plain hateful. I don't get that nastiness. Girl who works in the same building had a comment I overheard: "reeeaaalllyyyy nice girl with a pretty face. Too bad she's fat." The man she said it to responded: ."I'd take her home ANY day of the week before you. At some point, there is going to have to be a conversation and she has you beat, hands down." Although i was prepared to give her my own verbal abuse, I could have ran back and kissed him! Don't let her nastiness get you down.
  6. I hope the gas gets worked out for you. Congratulations and you'll be running laps in no time!
  7. Keep us posted when you're able.
  8. Can't wait to hear from the "sleeved you" and how effortless your procedure was! Sending good thoughts your way!
  9. Find another physician. Really. You and I are the same height and weight! I am pre-sleeve and contacted my PCP and asked of he would do a complete physical with all of the labs and explained why. I then asked him if he would be willing to continue my follow-up care and run my labs very 3-4 months to insure everything is normal. I understand for emergencies I will go to the emergency room. Which is what I would do for a broken leg or anything else major. He was completely on board. You are not asking him to do anything else or treat anything out of the ordinary. Do you have any co-morbidities he may be concerned about?
  10. Strep is no joke. I am one of those people who gets it pretty bad and suffers terribly. It isn't going to taste worth a crud, but you may have to crush them up and take them. I had to put mine in a magic bullet and annihilate (sp?) them. Considering everything else, did he give you a shot of penicillin or pills? (Unless your allergic) I hope the shot due to "sleeve." My best thought is warm chicken broth. Add the unflavored Protein. There is protein Jello out there also. Definitely staying hydrated is more important or you will be back in the hospital with iv's for it. Take care of yourself and keeping you in my thoughts.
  11. I know Tylenol is still on the "ok" list for post-sleeve. Does it work for you? Ibuprofen is my go-to for cramps, also. It's on my "NO" list of medications post-sleeve.
  12. I love my Ninja!! My husband laughs because I use it for everything!
  13. You look amazing! What a great message to send to others. You are happy and healthy and that is all you were striving to achieve! Congratulations on achieving it.
  14. I sent mine regular and total time for send and return was 12 days. Expedited will definitely be quicker. I wanted to avoid any holiday mailing.
  15. Although a little pricey, I have tried these and found them to be "decent" just for the mere reason I can not, for the life of me, master Protein Jello with unflavored protein. I have thrown away 6 batches of these! http://www.gnc.com/pwr/product-reviews/WORLDWIDE-SPORTS/p/4286521-Pure-Protein-reg-Pure-Protein-reg-Protein-Snack-Cherry-Punch.html Close to around $6 for a package of them - GNC. Vitamin shoppe doesn't carry anything similar.
  16. The zombies go for the fatties first!! Lol. I went to a gym and they had that on their sign.
  17. Congratulations on your new journey. Keep us posted!
  18. My husband laughs at this....but I stated the same thing and booked my surgery for January.
  19. Can you contact your surgeon and get your surgery bumped to a sooner date? Or were you meeting requirements by that date?
  20. I'm using an iPad so I click on the arrow at top right corner and click on "reply to thread." (Same on iPhone.)
