  1. Got the call from pre-admissions. Report at 6AM tomorrow!
  2. * Never, ever, ever again shopping at Casual Male Big and Tall. I'm tall, but many regular stores sell tall clothes now. And let's be honest, 99% of my fellow customers at Casual Male were not in the tall category. * Not worrying about whether a restaurant booth will fit. * Never breaking another resin lawn chair. * Skinny sex sounds fun. I guess I could have started that sentence at "sex." * Taking my CPAP machine (also now know by me as my "CLAP" machine) and hitting it with a hammer. Getting sleeved tomorrow, January 8!!!!!
  3. Any sleevers with either tinnitus or ringing in your ears? I see online that weight loss can help reduce it, and I would love to find that along with fitting into clothes, my condition might improve a bit. Any experience like that, pro or con? Getting sleeved 01/08/13.
  4. I'm the 8th as well. Preop diet has been hard but effective. Down 15 since December 27, when I started it. Have 'cheated' once, with a small glass of champagne at midnight on NYE. GOOD LUCK to everyone on Tuesday!

That's awesome. I'm 6'6" and one of my goals is to get back into a ratty size L t-shirt I have from college in 1992. At my heaviest, I was a 3x and am more or less a 2x now. Sizes have changed in the last 20 years, though, so a large then is like what's labeled a medium now, in my experience, anyway.
  6. January 8 for me. Have starting to add video to my blog. Good luck everyone!
  7. 42 here. Getting sleeved on January 8. Was more or less normal in college at 21 (235ish). Was up to 362 at age 30. Began a decade of losing, gaining, losing, gaining. 50-60 lbs. each time. Finally decided in December 2011, 'ENOUGH.' Am very nervous about what's ahead, but ready and looking at it with a clear head. Goal is to get back down into my ratty college-era t-shirt from 1992.
  8. Hah. Yeah, I was reading that, thinking that given how much I have to lose, I may have a film career ahead of me. Sadly, that likely will not be the case.
  9. That's guys for you, right? I'm down 30 lbs. since 01/01/12 in prep for my surgery on 01/08/13, and the only friends who have commented, with one exception, have been female. I have only told close friends to date and they've all been supportive. A group of male work friends invited me out for wings and beer tonight, and as I'm on day two of the preop diet, I declined. They pushed and i told them why. Generally supportive.
  10. I've been blogging since the start of 2012. I find it therapeutic and a good way to get things off my chest. I don't post often, but it comes in spurts and stops. May move to a VBlog once I get approval from insurance, which is where I am now in the process. http://onelifetosleeve.wordpress.com Twitter: @OneLifetoSleeve
  11. Thanks, everyone. Appreciate the quick 911 response.
  12. My favorite holiday, and I have to be honest... I'm feeling a sense of loss today that I wasn't expecting. So ready for the sleeving (hopefully in January) , but feeling like 'This is it.'

I am so worried about this. In fact, I worry about this more than the surgery sometimes! Any thoughts on exercises or strategies to help get rid of them as you're losing?
