Thanks everyone! I'm still very happy with my choice. The hospital and staff are great! Omar is awesome and ill have Dr Illan and Dr Kelly Doing my surgery today! The nurse just came In and started my blood work and IV.. Now the countdown starts..

You will be fine. I was hell bent I wasn't going alone. I'm way to scary for that lol but things Happen and my husband wasn't able to come. Luckily I became close friends with a member here that was going alone also so we booked And came together. There is many people that Go alone. Just keep a eye out on Who is going around your time and buddy up.

I've been using FaceTime. Luckily everyone I care to talk to all have it.

Hey everyone! Me and my sleeve sister coexist23 (Jessica) are currently in flight. We land in a couple of more hours! Then we will meet our driver and head to Florence Hospital to meet Dr. Illan and Omar! We are having so much fun! Lol we met off VST but you would have thought we knew each other for ever! Will update soon!!

Yes, but I leave this afternoon @ 3. I decided to not have same day surgery like I planned. When do you fly back? I come back Sunday

Good luck!! I know how you feel I leave tomorrow and have surgery the 7th. I'm trying to stay busy so I don't think about it to much lol.

I had one full dose 10oz last night around 6 and nothing!! I did go 2 times this morning around 9am when I woke up! But no where near what I was expecting lol.

Ok I guess I would respected you more if you posted this under your real name. I'm confused on why you didn't or felt the need to hide. This is your opinion and your journey. I respect that. Just like anything in life, everyone's experience is not the same. What bothers one might not be a issue for another.

I leave Wednesday the 6th and surgery the 7th with Dr. Illan. I've got so much left to do before I leave!! It's coming so fast!

Thanks everyone! I feel better this morning. I am still going to MX. I have put all my fears and worries in God's hands and I really feel at peace. I'm in ATL so I'm sure that I can find another Dr. That will provide me care if needed. My insurance will cover complications if I'm self pay the only exclusion I see is if I decided to get the band and needed to get it removed it would need to be a real emergency and medically needed before they would pay.

I emailed my local surgeon's office to tell them that I have decided not to fight insurance or wait any longer. I have decided to go to MX. I knew they would try to talk me out of it. He emails me back saying he supports my choice blah blah blah but i really need to thank about this more. Well I leave 3/6 so its not really much to THINK about at this point! However this is what he put in his last line of the email. Now this is really what bothers me. What if i do have a complication!? Are the Dr's Here just going to refuse to give me care!? I don't think I need follow ups except for my blood work which my PCP can do right? Now I am scared YET AGAIN...

When do you leave?

I am flying out from ATL 3/6 and have a direct flight. I didn't want any layovers. My Ticket was around $450.
