I just had dr. jesus ortiz through a lighter me Ronda. I had surgery jan 3 and i was in the best care. Abraham picked us up from San Diego. We got to the hospital did all our tests, signed papers and i was off in to surgery. Next thing i know im waking up and the surgery i complete. I felt a little pain right after surgery but they give you meds in the iv to help with pain. I just slept and the next day i felt better. I kept walking the hall ways to release the gas that put into us that really helps. you'll enjoy Dr. Ortiz he speaks very good english and he is easy on the eyes. He is very attentive nad comes to talk with you daily. Right now im at the marriott in tj waiting for dr to see if i can get my drain unhooked and see if i can go home early. good luck i just came out of surgery on Jan 3 in tj mexico. My doctor was jesus ortiz and i had the best experience ever. YOu will love your sleeve. No pains today waiting to take drain out. sip all day and walk the gas off. good luck

dont worry i put on 3 and than on my 3 day liquid diet i lost it all. You'll be fine i had my slleve on thursday and i feel alive and well infact going sight seeing in tj with my driver wish you the best of luck

Omg. I am low bmi 32.6. I am getting sleeved on jan 3. And I told everyone about my surgery. I don't care what they think I am doing this for myself. You either with me or not. No one is changing my mind. I am doing it with or without your blessings. I'm tired of dieting. I need a tool to assist me in my journey. I don't have any co morbidities but why wait until that happen??? I'm being proactive. And making the life changing decision now while I have that chance. I'm 38. I weigh 190 right now lost 10 pounds so far on pre op diet. I'm very excited to start this journey and hope to share my experience with everyone

holy crap i cant beleive i found this !!!. I have decided to have ths procedure. i have a BMI of 34 5'4 204 pounds and when i went to an information session... people looked disguted with me!!! like i should have been kicked out or like i was mocking them. i felt horrible. i want to do this surgery because im tired of my struggle and i will not wait noarround for comorbidities to show up at my door. im going to do it and be skinny and happy for once with myself image. i only told my husband and unfortunately will not be albe to tell noone else not even my dear father because i know he will freak out. (this make me sad)



but im going to do this!!! november thanksgiving 2012. im still reaserching doctors in Mexico but unfortunately Alvarez is out of my price range, one down a few to go.... any sugestions?

To my fellow low BMI'ers....you will lose weight! I started out at a bmi of 31.1 and now I am 19.5! Hips went from 50 to 38 inches. I averaged 10lbs a month the first few months and then slowed down from there. This will work! Just follow your doctor's guidelines and let it play out! You will not regret it. And so what if it comes off slow? Better than gaining!
Went from a 18/20 pant to a size 8
Tops XL to Medium
Happiness meter went from a 3 to 10 plus!!!

I'm going jan 3. But will be sleeved by dr Ortiz instead if dr Lopez. At first I was kinda nervous but Ronda made me feel confidant about dr Ortiz so here I go. I will keep you posted

Hi I'm going on jan 3 in TJ mx can't wait so excited. Already started my high Protein diet so I can shrink my liver by the time jan comes. I also started early so I can cheat on Xmas day a little. I take in about 70 grams if Protein a day and 1000 calories. Not that hard. It's all I think about in a daily. I can't even focus at school because My mind keeps rushing back to surgery. Good luck to all out there. (Smiles)
