  1. Two weeks post op and I feel great. I've lost 28 pounds. 10 pre op. I was so excited when I weighed myself. Hope everyone has a happy new year!!
  2. I was sleeved the 17th. I use a baby spoon and it works really well for me. Put it down during bites and make sure it's chewed very well. Good luck sweetie!
  3. Yes your being vey impatient. That's the good part of having this surgery. Your going to lose your most weight the first week. I couldn't do the plain chicken broth. So I would strain the light Progresso soup and was so much better. Just take your time. You won't be able to get in all your water for at least a week. I will be 2 weeks post op on Monday. Just starting to get all my water. Started my soft food on Thursday. Can only eat half an egg, maybe a 1/4 cup of fat free retried beans. So to me I see it as a good thing. I've lost 26 pounds since I've started this journey. 10 pounds pre op. So I wish you the best of luck.
  4. I'm only getting about 200 calories a day. Having 1 protein shake, fat free refried beans, and a mouse pudding I made with protein powder.
  5. Well today was my first day of soft foods. I was so excited!! Had an egg and some melted cheese. Could only get half of it down. Still was the best egg I've ever eaten.
  6. Prayers your way!! I'm also 8 days out and I feel almost normal. Kinda tired of broth but I can tell I've lost weight already. It's so hard not to weigh myself. Lol. Good luck you will be happy you did this for your health.
  7. Good luck! I was also sleeved the 17th. I had gained about 6lbs due to all the fluids they pushed but I've lost it plus more. I have to hide the scale because I want to weigh myself everyday. Lol. Hope your doing well. I'm just starting to ween myself off of the pain medicine so I can be normal. I have another 3 weeks off from work so I need to get my butt on the treadmill. Been procrastinating on that. Have a Merry Christmas!!!
  8. Well I made it through the hardest day of the year!!! So proud of myself!!
  9. My doctor prescribed omeprazole for 3 months. It has helped a little but still have it. Kinda gross since I've never had reflux before
  10. I felt a little frustrated today. Went to Cracker Barrel and felt like I wasn't going to find anything to eat. The waitress was so sweet. She strained the vegetable Soup for me.
  11. I'm day 6. Think I tried to do to much yesterday. Feeling a little more sore today. I would recommend wearing your binder if they gave you one while you sleep. That helped me so much. Good Luck!!
  12. I'm on only broth from any soups, sugar free jello, and Popsicles for 2 weeks. It's very hard. My stomach keeps rumbling but don't feel hungry. Good luck to everyone!!
  13. I buy the light progresso soups and strain them. They are way better than just chicken broth. My favorite is chicken pot pie. Good luck!
  14. I was also sleeved 12/17. I feel a little hungry but once I sip on Water it goes away. I also have the watery poop. Better than none at all since we haven't had anything solid. It's the hardest day so far. My family are making tamales. My favorite. But I'll get through it. Just have to be strong. The broth wasn't going down good at all. My doctor said I could have any broth I want. So I buy the light progresso Soups and strain them really well. I can only drink half a cup and half a Jello so far.
  15. Congratulations!!! I was also sleeved 12/17 and I have lost a total of 17 including pre-op.
  16. I'm doing great. Keeping everything down so far but I'm not pushing myself. Taking in everything really slow. . Hope everyone feels better
  17. I had my surgery on the 17th also. I feel just a little sore. I'm already home and relaxing. I'm still a little swollen from all the fluids. Just trying to move around is the hard part
  18. Maybe you should stay away from the salads. Sounds like your not getting enough protien with chicken turkey and fish. Good luck. Hope it works well for you. You will figure it out
  19. Congratulations!! I can't wait to see how much I lose in the first few months. I had my sleeve 12/17. Just a little sore. Getting down about 1/2 cup of broth and doing well with my water. Just a sip at a time.
