  1. Sleeved Nov. 12th 2012...Started at 408lbs...Now 268lbs(11months)...down 140lbs. About 58lbs to go!!!!
  2. Need some help and guidance. Was sleeved Nov 12 2012, to date I've lost 135 lbs. Started at 408, down to 273. My goal is around 208 to 220. Have about 65lbs to go. For the past several months I have not been able to lose anything!!! My weight has fluctuated between 273 to 278. I had plateaus before and seemed to be able to break them. But this stall is really frustrating!! I've been watching what I eat, get my protein in everyday, and have been workin out during the week. Don't know what to do?? Need some guidance and open suggestions? Thanks John.
  3. I'm 20wks out and sometimes when I eat certain foods my stomach sounds very "angry." Definitely took some getting use to. lol
  4. I live in Charlotte, NC, but have BCBS PPO out of Pittsburg, PA. After my 6mo diet class i think it only took less than 3wks for approval. I know it was not that long.
  5. Do a search for dive boots. Come in all sizes and temperatures to keep your feet warm. Prices and styles from cheap to expensive. Hope this helps?
  6. Doing Great!!! Sleeved Nov 12th, 2months from today. Down 46lbs since surgery, 85lbs total. Just finished a 2wk stall, got on the scale this morning, down 5lbs. Back to being a looser!!! lol
  7. After my 2wk check-up, my doc said i could go back on light duty, but not available to me. My job requires alot of lifting, so he was very strict on 6wks.
  8. If you go to your local support group, ask around. People are usually trading clothes, or know where to get them. Also try e-bay.
  9. My doc told me Centrum Chewables was fine. That's what i take, Citrus flavored. For calcium, Citracal gummies. Tastes like gum drops.
  10. My doc told me min is 60-70g of protein. Said he like me to do 90-100g. Just depends on your stats, Height, weight, and age.
  11. I had the same problem for a couple of weeks after surgery. Was taking Miralax and stool softner for a couple of days with Milk of Mag. It finally cleared, and now what i do is take Metimucal with my shake in the morning and that seems to be working well. I also use to go every morning like clockwork. Since i work on a job sight and have port-a-johns, im glad i don't go that often!!! LOL Just go with the flow!!! No pun intended!! LOL
  12. I am also interested. I have to pack my lunch for work, and need some good ideas. Very physical job working on a job site, and always on the go. Not very convenient for lunches.
  13. I am also at 7 weeks and in about a 2 week stall. Keep hovering around 328-333. Figured mostly because of the holidays and letting my body catch-up and take a break. Just going to let it ride itself out, and it will break soon. My problem is patience in not one of my strong suits.
  14. Mine look the same way. Doc told me it's the blood around the incisions healing it. Mine get bright red after a hot shower. If in question and to ease your mind, go see the doctor.
  15. I was told 6 weeks. I have a very physical job where i do alot of lifting and Doc said i was clear at 6 weeks. Back to work on Wed the 26th.
  16. I went to my company x-mas party last night, and did not drink any alcohol while everyone else did. I found it very amusing to watch everyone else drink and make asses of themselve. Just have to find the humor in it all. LOL
  17. You didn't gain the weight overnight, so you aren't going to lose it overnight.Give it time, it will happen. And when you hit a stall, and you will, just ride it out and don't get discouraged.
  18. I drink the Isopure Alpine Punch and the Pineapple/orange/banana and both those are pretty good. Just make sure you get the zero carbs.
  19. I was also sleeved on Nov. 12th. Down 34lbs since sugery and a total of 73lbs. I still think my scale is lying to me!!!! lol
  20. Computer seems to be having brain farts!!!
  21. Great!! Where did you go in the QC if you don't mind me asking. I'm with Carolina Weight Management. Im also with Carolina Weight Managment. My doctor is Dr. Kuwada.
  22. Hello,i'm in Tega Cay/Ft Mill, but my Doc and surgery was in Charlotte. Sleeved on 11/12, and going great. Hit 3wk stall but that broke Sun, and back to being a loser.
  23. The surgery is not a magical, overnight, solution. It takes time!! My doctor always said to me, "you did not get your health issues, and your weight problem overnight. It took time. So it will take time to resolve itself. But, it will resolve itself. Just give it time." In a couple of month, when you are down, 50lbs, then it will be magical. lol
